  2. Thing is, what AOC don't understand is that USA is not a true democracy, not even a weak sauce republic. (See the definition of both words - they mean the same). It's a duopoly. Where the two major parties are using lawfare, the media and oligarchs to keep other parties off the ballots,, denying all parties equal time and coverage. As a Norwegian who once spent a year in Kansas decades ago, I'm shaking my head.

As far as voting rights are concerned, why not ask Republicans why they threw out more than 2 million votes during the last election, and the fact that you need to jump over hurdles to make sure your vote is counted? Or when you're being harassed by socalled "poll watchers" in Trump's employ to challenge that so called right of yours. Seems to me that "the right to vote" is still a white privilege. George Carlin was right. He confirmed through his comedy what I saw and experienced in Kansas 35 years ago. Some of these memories are still fresh.
