Abused by gun nuts who thinks that carrying heavy armery in public is "freedom". 1st Amendment has been under assault by the religious right. Who thinks that the 1st Amendment only applies to them. Not to forget corporate personhood. Reagan revamped the war on privacy with his war on drugs.

  4. joshhill212 Nixon did the opposite that was adviced from his own commission, Remember, Carter tried to end the war on drugs, but lost to someone who wanted government to over regulate what citizens could put in their own bodies. At least Reagan proved that government CAN be the problem when government is in the wrong hands. Government has been in the wrong hands since 1981. Or 1969 for that matter. With a few years of sanity in between. Under Carter for instance.
