  1. TheQualityrkc Yes it was. In fact, the civil war was not only about owning slaves, but how the South wanted to dictate north and refuse the north to free their slaves. So it was worse than what you were taught in schools.  Seditious southerners have never been about "states rights" and "small government". They have always been about how to impose their backwards values on the rest of the country, and preferably around the world-
