  1. I was in Kansas as an exchange student 26 years ago. This was the land of the free compared to "commie Norway" they told me. There was equal protection under the law they told me. They compared themselves to USSR and pointed out all the stuff they could get at Walmart. And asked me how it was like living in a socialist country without their freedom. I never thought that the alleged "and of the free" resembles more to Stalin's Russia than a western democracy... Where the rich and the powerful is being protected, and the poor, the middle - and workking class gets squashed. While having their senses touted full of the notion that USA is the greatest country on earth.
