Don't sound very liberal if you ask me.
How is taxing a guy with ten dollars by 10% equal to taxing someone with 10 million the same rate equal? If that be the case, the rich wouldn't take the biggest slizes of the pie.
When 8 people owns more than the 50% of the poorest in the country, you think that these 8 people should pay the same tax rates as the ones whose wealth they have redistributed into their own pockets? Do you think that taxing Paris & Conrad Hilton higher from incomes they have NOT earned is waging a warfare on them on behalf of ungrateful, greedy proles who dont know what hard, honest work is?
Someone making 10k a year does not make enough money to make ends meet. That's why he won't pay federal income tax. He is being taxed otherwise though. His local taxes, and sales tax.
Yet here we have a bunch of RWers who think that the poor contributes too little and the rich way to much,
What I call warfare by the rich on the poor.
How is not taxing someone making 60 million a year plus tax free stock options with 10% the same as taxing someone who makes 20K equal?`You get gaxed 10%, you have 18K left to live off, A hedge fund heir who did NOT work for his 60 million dollar income will have 48 million left to shop at Walmart with, Whose wallet do you think feels the pain the most? the Paris Hilton or the worker in a "right to work for less" state?
Does the CEO who takes in 60 million a year feel the same impact on his wallet as a sweatshop worker at a call center does?
I think you RWers have a little warped sense of what is fair and how profits among the richy are being generated differently than wage slaves who live from paycheck to paycheck.
If you want it to be fair, then let the CEO make the same amount of money as the janitor.
