SamStam12 If you have money to gamble with..i.e. "invest...You're a capitalist. If you have a stock portfolio you profit from, then you're a capitalist. If you have neither, you are not a capitalist, but a promoter of a system that is rigged against the wage workers and for the people whose money do all the work for them.
And what we see in USA today is the result of capitalism where money is considered speech, and are heavily in politics,
Capitalism per definition as we know it has only existed a few hundred years when the bank system started during the Renaissance. And the banking system is entirely y built up on debt in such ways that people become more dependent on the banks than the other way around.
Today, it's not the government whom are taking peoples homes. The banks who received trillions of tax dollars to save those homes are doing that.
You can elect your government, but you cannot elect your corporate overlords. The killer is that you bitch about government, when it's your bankers, your oil industry, and the arms industry that owns them. You keep voting them in, and you keep voting for more money in politics, and capitalism running your government.
And yes. Capitalism is a religion.
Bankers are the priests. The stock market is the cathedral...The investors are the prophets. And money is god.

Gray Cat I've been to USA several times. Even went to school there one year as an exchange student - in Kansas. So I know your Murikkkan propaganda first hand. I have personally deemed Kansas the shittiest state in the union. Just look at their economy and the ones running the state in the ground, imposing religioius nutbaggery and neoliberal policies. And I don't watch TV
Apparently it's you who live in blissfull ignorance about who so many countries are ten times better than the best BLUE state you can conjure.
I have lived and worked in five different countries the last 11 years, worked for almost a dozen companies, many American transnational companies. Paying you with peanuts. I call it my sweatshop period.
When I say you are in ignorance about other countries and other systems and prove my point that your educatioin is nothiung but Soviet style propaganda and indoctrination is your last paragraph: "Socialism sucks the life out of a country".
You are brainwashed. You neither have freedom, nor a sound economic system. Tell me what freedom you have if you are broke, and just got out of prison for smoking pot? What freedom do you have when you can't afford education, and can't get a decent paying job because that job went to China or Mexico? What freedom do you have when you have four corporate news statoins, spoting the same kind of bullshit, blocking Liberal voices one anchor at a time, replacing them with corporate pundits, being paid to tell you what they want you to hear, and not what you need to hear.?
CAPITIALISTS who take money out of the system, hiding it in secret bank accounts abroad is sucking the life out of your country. The bankers, the corporations, and the oil companies are sucking your country dry. While your arms industry helps kill off parts of your population. Bush Jr. started a war on the credit card. Not giving a shit about expences. He gave Wall Street 700 billion dollars, socialising the loses, and privatising the profit as a parting gift before being booed out of office a few months later. In a social democracy, where government takes part, government is resirculating money through investments. In infrastructure, healthcare, education, justice, etc. While capitalists are taking money out of circulation, they are killing the economy. And for once, I would presume you have come to the same conclusion as I: Trickle Down economy doesn't work! The last 30 should have proven that to you already.
So if you don't like LIBERAL policies, consider this:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m5CBDUQxKTw/U9YCVdK6YLI/AAAAAAAABSA/2j6eldnZHQw/s1600/Liberals+gave+us.jpg
And what are the major differences between a RWer and a liberal?
http://www.conservativemyths.com/comparison-chart.gif
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/conservative
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/liberal
And if you think that a conservative brain has anything to contribute with, consider this:

But if you prefer the insane defintion of Liberalism and Conservatism, by all means, use this for souce instead:

Seems that Andy Schafly is a walking oxymoron.

Gray Cat May I remind you that all drug laws the last 150 years have been for racist reasons, or a way for the upper class to keep social control over the proles and serfs.
Prohibition can be read as a part of that eternal class warfare that the rich and the powerful has fought the poor and "the different" ever since Christianity took power in Europe. The notion of prohibition came with the Church and Christianity.
If you think that Rush Limbaugh should be able to get his Oxycontin on the shelf, so should heroin, since that's where heroin started. Drug addicts in Norway are getting Methadone or Subutex. Both heroin based drugs, but without "the buzz". Same poison, and the same death rates.
Clean heroin is hardly harmful at all, and one can live a long life with clean heroin. Like the Rolling Stones. They got lab. quality heroin, and they still live. A bit different from the swill that is sold on the street. The give out free heroin to drug addicts in Switzerland. Most of those people are now having normal lives and jobs. Recruitment has fallen by 85%.
If you are convicted as a felon, then you go to prison. Almost a million people are in prisons today for cannabis in USA alone. And Rand Paul is a corporate and religious stooge, and a flip floper with not an ounce of credibility in his body.
I work against prohibition and drug policies every single day, write article,s about it, and do my research. And toke up my sacred weed on a daily basis just like Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Abe Lincoln did. In fact, I might toke up one right now before going to work :-)

Gray Cat Do not lump taking drugs with criminal activity. There is no link between drug use and criminality in itself. The only thing that links drugs with criminality is prohibition itself, and the artificially high prices that forces disenfranchised people for alternative income. Until a street magazine started in Oslo (Norway) ten years ago, no junkie had a job, was loitering, or committed burglary to feed their habits.
When the street magazine started, these people all of a sudden had a legal income, and could rise themselves up from the gutter..with a little help.
The whole prohibition in is criminal in itself. These magazine sellers are still being harassed by then police at times. They are still persecuted by the justice system. But at least they don\t do crimes to feed their addiction.
Get the heroin (the heroine of all white women who had problems sleeping or some other) off the street and into the pharmacies, and problem is solved. Linking criminality with drug use alone is disingenuous at best.
Trust me on this. And if you don't, I recommend you read the statements from the Global Commission on Drug Policy and check their solution. And check out some numbers on the DrugWarClock.
As far as lethal drugs being sold, the two most lethal, are legally sold over the counter: tobacco and alcohol. Not to mention the drug companies who pushes out drugs that kills almost 2 million people world wide annually.
