What empathy does the white supremacists have for the people and culture their ancestors killed - the native Americans? What empathy do they have for the victims of slavery? What is holding slaves not a selfish act?

There are such things as museums. Put them in there and tell the REAL ugly story about the slave owners. Not the glossy Disney RW PC version that white paints the actions and motives of your plantation owning icons.

Haven't they had a book burning in Kansas already? Something about Harry Potter inspired satanism and witchcraft?

Put the shit on museums.

It's public. Also paid for by the citizens who don't want to flaunt a past as a society purely built on racism to be proud of. Nothing more disgraceful of tearing down these statues than tearing down a Stalin statue.

The drug war has always been racist. But in the 70s, Nixon decided to politicize it as well. Though substance prohibition has also been class based. It's a combined control mechanism. Like in England. Where at one point, opium was legal, and gin was forbidden. The Brits created millions of opiate addicts in China, while Chinese railroad workers were persecuted for smoking opium in USA during a time when Heroin became popular among white women, and sold legally over the counter. The only reason why poor white people went to be slaughtered for the rich plantation owners was that they were afraid of losing the social status, having someone lower on the pecking order. Just as when GOP plays identity politics to make "poor white Christians" feel like victims of a vast "leftist conspiracy" to take from them and give to "illegal aliens" (who happens to work almost as slave labour on farms without any rights). Rich white folks uses race, class or identity to divide people. So much easy to keep control over than a unified and informed entity. In that perspective, white supremacists are victims of decades of brainwashing as are most of the ISIS "warriors" has been brainwashed by demagoguery as well as a golden opportunity to fight against American aggressors.
