  43. Ōkami-san We have private clinics in Norway too. And the private clinics seem to bed doing OK. And if having to choose between paying 50 000 dollars for an appendix and get one for free just as quick, people will go for the free. I have not been to Australia, and couldn't tell you much about their health care system except for they have a public healthcare system that doesn't exclude 50 million people like in USA before "Obamacare".  People do not die from lack of access to a doctor in Australia. People in USA do. Thousands of Americans die every year due to little or no access to a proper healthcare system that also covers "deadbeats" who lost their jobs to a Chinese sweatshop worker.  USA ranks 37 in the world in healthcare. Just around "commie" Cuba! And that is a country that had to endure a draconian blockade thanks to USA.  When I needed a doctor in England, I didn't have to pay a dime in doctors fee. And when I needed medicine, drugs was subsidised. See, I'm a veteran. And has gone through hard times at times, even in my travels. And when living and working in England, my mandatory National Insurance covered me completely for the fraction of what insurance would cost in USA. From what I hear, Americans go to Canada to get subsidised medicine for the fraction of the cost in USA (where the industry itself dictates the prices after monopolizing the market. That's why so many drug companies are against legalization of marijuana. they donæt want you to be able to grow your own medicine, and wants you addicted to theirs.  What I find disturbing is that Americans always have money for another war, but can't afford feeding millions of poor kids whose parents lost their jobs thanks to crony capitalism and deregulation. They can afford giving Wall Street 700  billion dollars over night, but can't afford "Meals on Wheels" for the elderly.  It's beside the point. HEALTH is not a commodity to be traded with or speculated on by the "free market"... And the biggest money hoarders are still Capitalist Americans. Just look at how your robber barons have bought your politicians to keep you in line and obedient.  P.S, Japan has a socialist healthcare system. USA is the only industrialized country that does NOT have a public healthcare system that covers more than veterans and politicians and public workers.
