I went to school in Kansas 25 years ago, I was spoon fed on how great the American "democrat" was by teachers who couldn't name important incidents from WW1, and another who pulled Norwegian jokes in class (since I am Norwegian) instead of Polack jokes, and once spoke about bringing with him a Nazi flag to class. I warned him that if he did, I would set fire to it in class... I was taught that choosing between corporatist A and B, 17 different brands (democrat and republicans) was better than having to choose between commies exclusive, and only one washing detergent... It became a sport in school in bashing Europe for being "communist". This was at the death roll of the Soviet states, and when the Berlin Wall fell. So enlighten me. What is the difference in history and government classes in liberal states and conservative states?

FBtheHunter I'm being intentionally provocative. And it seems that people are getting offensive on behalf of their flag when confronted by ones own colonial history and its actions today. I am just as provocative towards my own countrymen. Besides, I was replying to YOUR contempt for USA, and it seems that hypocrisy is not tied to one nation, or one culture. USA was founded on ethnic cleansing en genocide. Australia was founded on the same. While USA has lead the charge in extensive wars, Australia was right after. Norway as well. And I curse my government for participating in war crimes. I also curse my own government for sending children out to a country they have never seen, and is war torn. My government is involved with a disgusting asylum practice these days, and the Press is frying them for it. We have a government today that has finally legalized segways, scooters on the mountain where skiers goes, poker, and boxing. In the name of "freedom". Now they want to criminalize beggars. In other words, criminalize poverty, give tax cuts to the rich, and make everybody else pay for it while selling out our natural resources and land to the highest foreign bidder (China) while refusing to shake hands with a Nobel Prize winner (Dalai Lama) when he came to visit. Want more dirt on my country? I'm sure I can conjure up something more. But this thread you made, you uttered your contempt for USA. And seem to have gotten offended by being put in the same bag as the ones who colonized America. Pitty.
