Every single transnational company has had some form of employee benefits when sick, or materny in every country I have worked in except Ireland. Why Ireland? At least it used to be a tax haven for American corporations. No worker protection. No unions are allowed on their premisses, and other crytpo-fascist measures that the RW government has put in place to attract corporate vultures. Ireland has 13% unemploymence. 23% of the active work force are migrant workers. It's easier to get a tax refund than getting benefits if your corporate owner have spit you out.
