crab_aesthetics 1.Then what I just wrote, should be common knowledge for you. It's easy to verify or debunk. Google is your friend if you are stuck. My statements are from actual history books and actual authors. 2. American? A product of white, european privilege and entitlement to steal other people's land and then tout "property rights"? 3. I certainly enjoy taking a piss at your delusions.

JUST It depends on what you mean by "worse off" as "England was entitled to rule you and use you as cannon fodder and servants. You must be missing those days where they could leech off other people's labor. Making theft legal again. Reminds me of Eddie Izzard and how he described England taking India. English colonialists: Weclaim India for Britain! Indians: No you can't! WE already live here! English colonialist: Do you have a flag? Unless you have a flag, you're not entitled to own the land you and your famiy has lived on for thousands of years. Only people with flags have the right to dictate terms. That's the rules we just made up! Yet somehow Europeans (as incuding European Americans) think that all their wealth has been made from two empty hands and an iron will and that people of color are just out to leech off the white man's labor.

crab_aesthetics Ever heard of Timbuktu? Or Algerie? Before the French came to Algerie, they had schools in every village. There was 90% literacy. Which means that 90% of all men and women knew how to write. That was during a time when only a small portion of Europeans could read and write. After the French was kicked out in the 50s and 60s, only 10% could read and write. Poverty was widespread. But at leas the French taught them French, right? How about Belgian Congo? The king of Belgium used Congo as his private plantation. Louie Fredinand Celine describes perfectly the European mindset at the time. Joseph Conrad has Heart of Darkness. Colonialism is just a symptom of European arrogance. Today, Africa is more or less lawless. Africa has become the new Wild West. Mercenaries, private contractors, golddiggers and all kinds of seedy business thrives in many places in Africa these days. To say that theft, rape, murder and genocide is not wrong is to say that what the Nazis did in Europe was not wrong. I wonder if you would like to become a black man's unpaid and whipped servant as he screws your wife or girlfriend.

CheatyTycoon 2 Ever been out on town in England on a Friday or Saturday night? Wouldn't exactly call them civilized. Neither will I call what the Brits have done to the rest of the world the last 400 years very commendable either...Especially "their" colonies.

CheatyTycoon 2 England is one of history's most lmurfderous and parasitic nations in history. With an empire larger than the Roman Empire, they have sucked out resources and man power to feed their welfare monarchs in Buckingham. Thinking their royalties have some mysterious divine right to take from others and demand aduration in return. Spain had that role in the 1500 and 1600s when they exploited the Americas, enslaving the local population in their lust for gold. The English wanted in on the action. So in what way have England and Spain been such blessings to the cultures and people's they have encountered on their pillage ventures? In what way has England and Spain been such blessing in comparison to Viking raids on Christian towns and villages 1000 years ago?

crab_aesthetics Right! Because everybody was starving begore the English came. Jeez. Like to bloat yourself up with your superiority complex, don't you? Considering your mentality, you seem inferior to most "ethnic" people I have encountered on my travels...

CheatyTycoon 2 In case you've missed it, UK has been involved in at least 4 wars/interventions in the Middle East the last 15 years with disastrous effects. In fact, Britains' involvement in destroying the Middle East started when they started splitting up the area like they did in Africa without consideration to ethnic and religious differences. And when i.e. Iran started to secularize and modernise in the 50's, the Brits and Amerians had the legally elected president kicked through a miliatary coup, installing a puppet dictator in the sjah. The behavior of the Brits around the world the last 60 years have been far from commendable.
