+fl00fydragon Nop. You owe it to the Native Americans. The founding fathers had no real references but the Native Americans on how a democracy worked. The Greek one was failed. Look up Benjamin Franklin and his time with the Iroquois.

+fl00fydragon The founding fathers didn't have a realistic model to build their constitution nor the form of government from. Greece was an ancient, but failed model they could not use. They had real life examples from the native Americans. Instead of arguing from ignorance, I suggest you do your research. Not all "good things" came from Europe. The failed democracy of Greece was never a good example. The successful example was the Iroquois. Off course, Eurocentrists wants Europeans to get credit for the "democracy" of USA and discard the non-Christian, non-Europeans for contributing to the foundation of the Bill of Rights, the system of a confederacy and voting rights (founding fathers ignored the fact that it was the women who did the voting in the Iroquois confederation.) Do your homework instead of trying to refute what is a historical fact.

+fl00fydragon Why don't you look up Benjamin Franklin and the Iroquois? My point is that Europe has been living under the tyranny of kings and religion since Roman times, and didn't have any actual, successful model to test this experiment called democracy? The Greeks didn't have a Confederate system. Women couldn't vote. They had slavery. I will admit that certain elements from Greece were used, but the practical democracy was learned from the Iroquois. However, as George Carlin so excellently has pointed out, the slave owning founding fathers were stunningly full of shit.

+fl00fydragon Let's agree that the American experiment is a hybrid with a variety of legacy. And white racists at the time would rather have a European flair to their system than copy the Native American one. Then the women would be allowed to vote and they were more consistent with the actual letters of the Bill of Rights and the preamble, the auto-genocide might not have happened. But we can only speculate. If I lived during the early 1700's, I'd prefer to be a pirate rather than someone else's servant or soldier.
