  2. M Theory Enthusiast The religious aspects lies in the dogmas, and the deification of Siddhartha himself. Other than that, I agree with you. Buddhism doesn't require a divine judge and jury.

  3. A little thing about Buddhism: Despite the dogmas of the 4 Noble Truths, and the 8 Fold path, there is no strict regimen required to improve yourself bit by bit in your own pace. Most Asian Buddhist make their offerings in the temples, give to the monks, and try to keep the way of tolerance in mind. Judging others over their roads in the life circles is only counter productive and doesn't give you any good karma.  There is no divine judge that punishes you if you screw up as a human being. We all do that. And we can choose to learn from our karma, or choose to repeat the same mistakes, and stay on a standstill or devolve.
