He can't drive, but it shouldn't be too hard to study and get the provisional one at least
2
A library card isn't one of the accepted forms of ID lol
2
Sounds incredibly expensive when he's already spent tens of thousands for Portugal. And he already has a lawyer
2
he's not allowed to do those jobs, he has a digital nomad job only
2
Can you get a drivers license?? Quick, learn how to drive!
2
that's what I thought too
2
he has a digital nomad visa only
2
he can't he has a digital nomad visa
1
that's ridiculous. If prayers worked, nobody would be homeless or die of cancer
1
he can't drive
1
Could you register with a company that manages your Youtube revenue and pays you a wage for now?
1
@bta8355 Doesn't he need to earn $5000 a month or something for the visa to be able to stay
1
it's terrible, hope it works out for you soon
1
it doesn't matter if we watch them, he won't get any money
1
no way!
1
Not joking but if you're desperate could you do English teaching or something?
1
Stay strong mate, everything will work out for the best!
1
he can't drive, but maybe he could quickly learn
1
@alekseyburrovets4747 oh shh
1
wow such helpful advice...
1
What's the point of the EU if they don't allow you to freely move to other EU countries?
1
so helpful
1
@TheRadDadShow why would someone sponsor a youtuber though? he works for himself
1
I know how hard and long immigrating is, going through it right now with my partner
1
he can't drive
1
he has a Russian gf
1
but it hasn't been simple at all so far, he's spent thousands of dollars on lawyers etc over many months to get there
1
@rossevans1774 getting out of Russia was the easy part.
1
yeah I'm sure he can learn fluent Portuguese in a month...
1
@CarlosSahajdacny no you don't. You learn it when you get there. It takes years and you ideally have to be immersed in the culture
1
Couldn't they give people temporary documents?? It's just ridiculous
1
because he wants to live in the EU
1
oh yeah cause moving to Canada and America is so easy...
1
@caseyjones5145 not easy / almost impossible. Plus he's European and understandably wants to live in Europe
1
he was already rejected from Georgian residency? Won't work a second time
1
EU is far better!
1
@ciegacita um what about the dozens of other countries in Europe. Or Canada. Or Australia/NZ. Russia and the US aren't the only choices lol
1
@ciegacita because people are trying to offer realistic advice and actually be helpful
1
@ciegacita I posted lots of other comments on the video
1
what are you talking about, he's already renting and has a stable address in Lisbon
1
he can't, it's a digital nomad visa
1
@lordhoweproductions3733 you told him to get a real job. He'd have to leave Portugal then because his residency is based on being a digital nomad
1
he can't, he has a digital nomad visa?
1
he did!!
1
Someone else commented that their friend had been waiting 2 years... maybe other EU countries are quicker?
1
US sucks though
1
he can't drive
1
@kathrynstewart-mcdonald it's not $50,000 lol
1
no you don't pay attention, he says several times it's not until November
1
Does your residency still depend on you making a certain amount of money each month though?
1
@enchantedrockview no it's not strange at all, it seems like this is just how Portugal works. Other people are waiting up to two years for residency/ID. What can a lawyer do if the bureaucracy is just ridiculous? Maybe another European country like Spain would have been easier but a bit late now
1
@enchantedrockview yeah I know that, it's a Portugal thing. It shouldn't take months/years but apparently it does. Maybe Roman should have done more research before moving there and gone to Spain instead?
1
@enchantedrockview isn't that the whole point of the video lol. He's waiting for residency, and is currently on a visa
1
@enchantedrockview it's confusing, he's not technically a resident of Portugal, he has a temporary visa I guess. There's always a possibly his residency could be rejected. They allow you to move there while you wait and he was able to get a rental but personally that would make me nervous. My bf went through a similar thing here in Australia and had a temporary visa while waiting for permanent residency (which took years)
1
@enchantedrockview also Georgia wasn't kicking him out, you can stay there indefinitely but there's always the threat that they won't let you back in cause you have no status there
1
extremely hard to immigrate there
