  7. Both my parents also died in their early 70s. Sadly, my dad developed vascular dementia so his last few years were awful. I want to live until my early 80s. I hope I make it.

  8. I think it’s cruel that Martha Laureville’s family had a trach put in and she was still on it more than a year later. My husband and I both have signed health care directives that clearly state our desire for what we do and don’t want should we become incapacitated with no chance for regaining any quality of life.

  11. Anytime a private equity firm gets involved in health care, quality diminishes. Healthcare, including dental and vision, should be not-for-profit. Also, why is it that caring for our mouth and teeth aren’t considered healthcare? Ridiculous. When the ACA first went into affect, I had to go on Medicaid for a year or two due to the rules. I had dental coverage. When I went in for a cleaning, the hygienist barely spent five minutes on my cleaning.

  13. You know what scares me? While progressive minded people, who believe in equity, are having small families, families like the Bundys, Duggars and the like, are having 10, 15, 20 kids and they are being homeschooled and brainwashed. What’s going to happen, say, 20 or 30 years from now when those kids are grown?
