  13. Totally support her decision. ALS is a horrible, horrible disease. Towards the end of it you can’t eat and, eventually can’t breathe on your own. MAID is a more compassionate end. Jose doesn’t have a terminal, progressive illness. I get what he’s saying but people like Ms Goodfriend should have this option.

  14. She was fortunate to have been able to be in his life. I placed my baby for adoption when I was 16. 50 years ago, all adoption were closed. I was t allowed to see my baby let alone hold her. I knew only that I had a girl.

  18. How stupid do parents have to be to allow a young child to handle such a powerful weapon? There should be age restrictions. I hope this girl and the instructor’s children have been able to move forward and live a productive life.
