  1. I moved to a college town in eastern Oregon about 16 years ago. The city I live in was super affordable. A one bedroom apt was around $350-$400 a month. A 3bd/1bs house was about $700-$800. The only real change had been a housing shortage (allegedly) but now a 1bd apt is about $660-$700 a month. A 3bd/1ba house rents for about $1200-$1400 a month. This is a somewhat economically depressed area so the increases don’t seem justified. I used to own two rental houses here so I know the costs involved. Greed is what is destroying this country.
