  4. I’m scared. You’re absolutely right, Carol, only I think it will last longer than 2025. There is no telling the extent of misery this administration is going rain down on all of us, not just seniors. Thousands of people have already lost their jobs for no reason but that evil Musk. My oldest son and his wife are both disabled Vets. I don’t know what they will do if Trump/Musk cuts their VA benefits. As for jobs, millions of jobs are going to be eliminated thanks to AI. As for housing, the only reason my sister isn’t homeless is because the previous owner of her duplex didn’t raise the rent in the first 11 years my sister lived there. The previous owner sold the units four years ago. The new landlord has been raising the rent every year but, because Oregon has rent control, she can only raise it about 10% a year. So, even though my sister’s rent has been increasing, she still pays less than market value by about $450-$500 a month.
