The harm it will do to the poor and the working class is immeasurable. Just today I saw where Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have identified $516 billion in government savings - it includes cutting all of Veteran's Affairs health care, eliminating the NIH, and ending funding for federal prisons." And they’re just getting started. These are men born with a silver spoon in their mouths who have no idea what it’s like to be poor and struggling. I mentioned before that my husband has bladder cancer. Over the past six years he’s also had heart surgery and had three aneurysms repaired plus two more aneurysms that are being monitored . He’s probably had $350k-$400k in medical bills since 2018. I’m so thankful that between Medicare and a supplement, most all of this healthcare has cost us very little (besides the premiums). I’m scared to death about what the republicans will do to Medicare once the new administration takes over. People shouldn’t have to worry about losing everything they worked hard for because of medical bills.
