This child is in special ed. You can’t necessarily blame the parents.

@bonearmy1518 - Have you ever cared for a child with certain developmental disabilities? I have and It’s not easy.

@4everloved142 - Sorry but if you had raised a child with certain disabilities, you would understand. To be sure, the parents may well be part of the problem but that isn’t a given.

This child is in special Ed. Having raised a child with developmental disabilities, I can see both sides. My son, in addition to Tourette’s, OCD and Aspergers, suffered anxiety. Teachers would ask me how best to help him when he would get overwhelmed and I would always say “prevention not intervention”. If they wait until he is already losing control if would be hard to calm him down. Mind you, he wasn’t necessarily violent but sometimes the adults around him would back him into a corner and that would cause him to panic. At those times, he would strike out because he felt trapped. Thankfully, as he got older, he was better able to self-regulate and by 5th grade there were no more outbursts like that.

@ponygirlusa - nice calling a five year old special needs child a thug. I wonder why you used that term?

When I would meet with my youngest son’s teachers before school started each year, they would ask how best to help him. I would tell them prevention is key. If you have to intervene, then problem had already gone too far. I’m not blaming the teacher in this case but I wonder how a five year old would be capable of doing that much damage just by pushing an adult.

Thanks you for rescuing them. I wonder why this happened?

I’ve seen a few of these on the road. They are quite distinctive looking. I think it’s crazy to spend $100k on a pick up but whatever floats your boat.

There is definitely an emotionally immature behavior but it’s really about power.

@Qetesh777 - It’s not regression. It’s emotional immaturity and lack of self control.
2
@Key-Key444 - Um, I’d say she already did.

Thank you

@beigekitten89 - I also have two older sons who, while not on an IEP, had some challenges. I fully supported their teachers and, together with the school psychologist, we made a good team. In fact, the school psychologist helped me get the district to pay for private school for my youngest when he was about to start middle school. I saw how hard it was got my two older sons and I knew it would not be good for my youngest. Fortunately, after 7th grade, we moved to a new area and could afford private school for him. I found an excellent school just a few miles away. Most of his teaching was one-on-one. I don’t think my son would have stayed in school and graduated if not for this school and it’s caring staff.

Who in their right mind allows underage kids to operate a boat like this? You know they were probably consuming alcohol as well.

@flproud8094 - He is still entitled to an education. I remember seeing a kid at my son's school being carried by four adults down the hall while he was screaming and fighting their hold on him. Sadly, these types of occurrences are not rare in this day and age. Don get me wrong - this kid certainly has a ger issues that must be dealt with but let's not write off a five year old.

@wadecountybabe - every child is entitled to a free education and, if on an IEP, it has to be in the “least restricted environment”.

@FocusingOnChrist - Parents do play a role, as do teachers but blaming them doesn’t help. My youngest was a very difficult child to raise until about 12-13 years old. My husband and I had to try a lot of different therapies before we found something that helped. Sometimes, parents don’t want to accept there is anything developmentally wrong with their child and that can make things worse. I really hope this little boy gets the proper interventions to help him.

WTF is wrong with people? Tell me the balloons got picked up?

Why are young people do bratty and careless these days?

Thank Heaven for Natalia. WTF is wrong with some people.

Interesting how people are yelling “Call 911” - they wanted to video the crash instead of calling 911 themselves.

What the h*ll is wrong with some people? They’re willing to ruin their lives over sex?

Well, Junior, you’re going to be paying big time! They should put in a traffic circle. They are used in residential neighborhoods to slow traffic and prevent dumbazzes like this from speeding through the neighborhood. He’s lucky he didn’t kill someone.

The mother should have been charged with assault! The bottom line is never check anything of value. Carry it with you.

I can’t even begin to imagine the pain she, and her other children, are enduring. I wonder if it was an electrical problem? I’ve heard of other cases where the pool light malfunctions and sends the current through the water.
1
I question this myself.

Lock him up for a long time. He needs to learn that crime does not pay.

@rockethead7 - I bought my last new car 16 years ago - an Acura MDX. I paid cash for it and I’m still driving it. It’s a great car - especially in rain snd snow.

You’d charge a FIVE YEAR OLD? Give me a break. This was a special ed class. It appears that teacher is not adequately skilled to teach these students. Prevention - not intervention - is key to keeping behavior like this from escalating.

They seem to be part of a group of rich white kids so I imagine their charges will drop to misdemeanors and they’ll get a slap on the wrist.
