  1. A "layout" is a far more meaningful and accurate term, and does not use one that already has semantic meaning within the context of window managers/desktop environments. It takes some cope to try and make the argument that "this is akthually tiling". I understand that KDE does not intend nor designed it to be "tiling" as that word is understood, so calling it as such simply means it is not the most appropriate term for it.
