  1. I am in the same boat. I can see the benefit with servers, but I just don't see any reason to bother with it for personal desktop environments.

  2. I understand the purpose behind immutable distros and can appreciate their use-cases, and perhaps it is my ignorance, but I simply don't see why I would ever want this for my daily-driver desktop for personal use. Is there any benefit to it whatsoever in that context?
