  1. C will never die. Tons of "low-level" languages have come and gone over the years with the goal of being a C alternative, and most have faded into obscurity. The base libraries that pretty much everything is built atop relies on C in one way or another, and it is just too much to "rewrite it in Rust" or whatever other "hot" language is stylish to use that year.
