  3. @HC there is no good faith pushing of blatant falsehoods when we are on the internet and the information is literally at one’s fingertips. When a person goes to make a claim on the internet and wants to make it in good faith, that requires not spewing blatant falsehoods. This is the problem with socialist ideology. It will cling to falsehoods in the face of real world evidence to the contrary. Case in point right here. Talks about “fair” but refuses to answer the question about what is fair about taking away justly acquired property. Talks about inequality while misrepresenting capitalism and socialism as well as the basic facts on inequality. A good faith participant does not dodge questions when they poke a hole in one’s ideas.

In order for workers to be underpaid and profit to be theft, there has to be an objective measure of labor’s value. If we grant that labor’s value is subjective then it is whatever is agreed upon in exchange, and by extension the value of capital is also subjective and therefore not theft. Further, if we accept that people are rightful owners of their labor and the stuff which they gain through voluntary exchange then how is it that other people have a claim to means of production that I have obtained in this way?

  5. That is complete and utter nonsense. First off it is empirically false that a free market leads to inequality or poverty. That’s just st a bold faced lie. The data consistently shows that freer markets make people wealthy and more equal than socialist economies. Second, the definition of value has nothing to do with what you think is “fair.” Value is subjective and that is just a statement and of reality. Your feelings on the matter don’t factor into that. Further, you have not established that communism is more fair. And third, you did not answer my questions.

  6. First off, capitalist countries have LESS inequality than socialist ones. Second, the Nordic countries are not socialist. They are arguably very capitalist. Again, this is shown by the data. You are not entitled to your own set of facts.

  7. No I do not have any such obligation to not judge others. When people are being dumbasses I can and will call them out for that. And yes I have seen people that are mistaken. They do not pivot when confronted on an error. You’re not getting it. I have no obligation to uphold your double standards of argumentation. I reject them. I deal with logic and facts. If and when people reject those, they rightfully get ridicule.

  13. A person that is merely deceived or mistaken does not assert things without looking them up, and they also do not dodge the issue when it gets too tough. I asked a simple question about how he would justify violating property rights and instead he pivots to some bullshit claim about inequality and poverty while literally ignoring socialism’s actual track record. So again that is bad faith. A good faith participant does not derail and switch topics. An ideologue without an argument does.
