The Diaoyu islands or the Shenkaku islands were forcibly taken by the Japanese and in the treaty of surrender by the Japanese, the Japanese are supposed to relinquish it’s claims on these islands and are to be given back to China. The USA took these islands and kept it in trust but instead of returning them to China as per the Surrender Treaty, the USA gave these islands back to Japan. If the Japanese are as honourable as they always portray themselves to be, then just give these islands back to China and there will be no more disputes there. It’s just that simple isn’t it ?

  8. @zaimun1666 distance is never a problem. Legally it is China’s island that has been decided in the Cairo Declaration back in 1940’s. If distance is a problem then can you explain how does the UK own the Falkland Islands ? Or how does the French own the Reunion Islands and so on ?

  9. Robe G If you look at the facts then you will know that the disputed islands in the South China Seas has been recognised as part of China’s territory even by the USA until recently.

Niccolò No these islands in depicted by the 9 dash lines has been internationally recognised as part of Chinese Territory by all countries in the United Nations including the USA, Australia and Britain until recently when the USA needed to stir up an enemy so they made the ASEAN Countries dispute them.

  12. 김기정 IF the USA is not a big bully then these things will not arise. The Diaoyu island would have been returned to China and there would have been no dispute. The disputed islands in the South China Seas would have continued to be recognised as part of China’s territory and there would have been no dispute there.

  20. Kool Aid No you are not that correct. Japan, Korea and the Philippines are colonies of the USA or Pseudo colonies of the USA. The Korean military reports to a US military General. Japan under the surrender treaty is not allowed to have their own military and is supposed to be run by the US Military. Philippines was a colony of the USA however even after they have got their independence from the USA, they still behave as though they are part of the USA. Well at least until the emergence of President Duterte. President Duterte is the real beginning of the independence of the Philippines.
