  1. ⁠@dayner989 well not since Trump. They are persecuting Chinese nationals there in the USA. That is why it is so perplexing to me that these people want to take so much risk to go to the USA and be persecuted. Well I guess information is never perfect.

  2. ⁠@cashewnuttel9054 Yes, as a Nation China is rich. However the wealth is not fully distributed yet to all segments of their society. There are still those who has fallen through the cracks and has not received the benefits yet. One of the interviewees says that their land has been sold to the Government at a very low price, as far as I know in China the government buys back these land at market prices. Maybe there has been some corruption involved in between and that these people did not get the proper deal they were supposed to get.

  3. ⁠@user-xp7nk9dw8d Taiwanese people are very well propagandized by their own media and US lead media that they do not know what is actually happening or what is actually happening outside of Taiwan. A sad fact but true.
