Sumone Chan No Singapore is an Authoritarian Government that’s why they are able to resolve their housing issues with ease. Whereas in Hong Kong you have the pro-democracy camp that has been blocking all initiatives of the Government from helping to ease the housing problems to bringing more job opportunities to Hong Kong.

@vanessaruth2834 in a way yes those pro-democracy politicians have been opposing everything that the Government has proposed so nothing much could be done for the people. Maybe they are funded or lobbied by those rich tycoons to protect their interests, or worse by the CIA. Some of them have daily online meetings with the CIA and some US politicians and it has been documented by the BBC on this too.

K j X • 5 years ago China’s one Child policy only applies to the Han Chinese, all the other 54 ethnic groups can have as many children as they want. Even if you refuse to believe it, the Uiygers in China can have as many children as they want that’s why their population overtook the Han’s in Xinjiang in a short period of time. This One Child policy is an American agenda to limit China’s population. They didn’t go the way of India, because in India, the American’s sent doctors and promoted the sterilization of young women without their knowledge. These American doctors even help in doing abortions without the mother’s knowledge as well.

C S LOW The Hong Kong Government is very democratic unlike the Singapore Government where they are very authoritarian. Therefore it is much easier to do that in Singapore, whereas the system is almost impossible to do what Singapore does, especially when you have an opposition camp that is just opposed to anything that is being proposed. I blame the opposition for the horrible state of affairs in Hong Kong as they have blocked many initiatives by the Hong Kong Government to improve the living standards of the people.

sy yap I would love to hear that you are correct, unfortunately you are not. The reason is because the pro-democracy camp has been blocking all these initiatives of the Hong Kong Government to ease the housing problem and even bringing in more job opportunities for the Hong Kong people too.

C S LOW yes, of course this happened a long time ago and since any efforts by the Hong Kong Government has always been blocked by the pro-democracy camp, do you think that the problem will just fix itself? No I'm sorry it will never fix itself, especially when it isn't against the interest of getting more profits by the land owner's who are hoarding these lands that were sold to them cheap by the British just before the return of Hong Kong to the mainland.
