Actually Gaddafi is not a brutal dictator, he is only known as a brutal dictator because the USA has to paint this picture to everyone so that the US Government can take him down. That is why I think Sadam Hussein may not be a brutal dictator too, it’s all US Propaganda.

Wow China must have had a very raw deal then. They must sell their products by accepting USD and they must use these USD to buy US Stocks in the US Stock exchange. Donald Trump and Joe Biden is banning the Chinese from investing in the US Stock Market and US Companies. What happens if the US President just nullify all Chinese Investments in the country ? Then they will loose everything wouldn’t they ?

@toddthing apparently Gaddafi did not only helped his own country but he was also trying to help the whole of Africa. That was reason enough for the USA to feel threatened and because the rest of Europe also depend on extracting natural resources out of Africa for almost nothing at all, they also felt threatened by this too. The reason is that now these people in Africa may start to think, hey what are you giving us in return for taking our resources ? This would then increase the cost of extraction from just a small royalty to a real cost, hence the profits of western countries in Africa. This is also why the Chinese is a threat to Western countries too. The Chinese has been going in to Africa to invest in building infrastructures, like roads, airports, railway lines, schools, and so on in exchange for their natural resources based on the world commodity prices. In this way the African’s get a lot more value for their resources as compared to just royalty. African Governments are realizing this, that’s why the Chinese is a threat to the USA.

There are plenty of sweeteners and support that the USA is giving the Saudi’s in return for only selling their oil in USD. That is why the Saudi’s are still very stable there in the Middle East.
