  1. Firstly you have to understand that these disputed areas that India calls her own was unilaterally annexed by the British without recognition nor consent from the Imperial Palace in Beijing. There were no representatives of the Emperor to consent these, and hence by international law it should be illegal. However since the liberation of China from the Republic of Kuomintang, the Several Presidents of China has proposed to several Prime Ministers of India to settle these disputes. To the surprise of the world all Indian Prime Ministers has refused to settle these issues allow the Indian media to use these issues to build fake nationalism in India. Based on these facts above, I would always like to refer these disputed areas as Indian occupied disputed lands. The reason is because they have belonged to China for a thousand years before they were illegally unilaterally annexed by the British and given to India.

You see the Government in Taiwan run by the DPP claims to be the legitimate Government of all of China which also includes the whole of mainland China, Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Outer Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Shenkaku Islands and the 11 dashed lines of the South China Sea. The Government in Beijing run by the CCP claims to be the legitimate Government of all of China too. However this only include all of the mainland, Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Shenkaku Islands, and the 9 dashed lines on the South China Sea. The whole world recognises the Government of Beijing except 11 small pacific island nations and the Vatican. All international organisations political or otherwise only recognise the Government in Beijing. To say that Taiwan is a country is factually wrong.

  3. The accurate history is that at the fall of the Qing Dynasty, China was ruled by the Kuomintang Government in Beijing. The territory that it ruled over includes all of mainland China which also includes both inner and Outer Mongolia, Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the 11 dashed lines on the South China Seas. Due to the corruption of the Kuomintang Government the people revolted and civil war broke out. The people of China switched sides and the Kuomintang Government was loosing ground and kept retreating until the main control centre was shifted to Taiwan island. When the Communists gave chase, the USA sent their most advanced war ships together with their aircraft carries to block off Taiwan from the advancing Communists. Thus creating this division we see today. The Government in Taipei claims to be the legitimate Government of all of China which includes the whole mainland, Tibet, all the disputed areas with India, Xinjiang, both inner and Outer Mongolia, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the 11 dashed lines of the South China Seas. The CCP Government in Beijing also claims to be the legitimate Government of all of China which includes all of China mainland, Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the 9 dashed lines on the South China Sea. The whole world recognises that there is only 1 China. All the Government around the world recognise the Government in Beijing run by the CCP as the legitimate Government of all of China. Only 11 Government of small Pacific islands and the Vatican recognises the Government in Taiwan as the Government of All of China. Hope you understand what is actually happening here.
