  1. Rising Sun you have been misled. The only infiltration in Hong Kong are the likes of the National Endowment for Democacy (funded by the US Government), National Freedom House (Funded by the CIA using the money from the US Government). There are another 20 other so called Non-governmental organisations actively promoting their stances in Hong Kong and these organisations are fully funded by the US Government too. That is why the schools in Hong Kong teach the students to never go to the mainland, that everything there is fake and that the people in the mainland are uncivilised, They also teach the students that there is no freedom of speech or democracy in the mainland. They also indoctrinate them saying that religion is banned on the mainland of China. Of course you and I know that these are all false right? Now even in the primary schools in Hong Kong they are made to shout the 5 demands during school assemblies. Which I feel is totally wrong, as these are 6 year old kid what do they know about freedom and politics. These sort of things should not even be done in a university by force as it infringes the rights of the students.

  2. Chang Hsieh nobody is asking Taiwan to be communist. Beijing keep saying One Country two system. Just like in Hong Kong or Macao don’t let the western media mislead the people that there is no democracy in Hong Kong and that Taiwan will no longer be democratic after reunification.

  4. Joy Wu which rock have you been hiding under? You didn’t know that there are hundreds of protests going on in Mainland China all the time and they always criticise the Government? They even have special web sites set up by the Chinese Central Government to allow people to criticise the Government and they guarantee a response from the correct official too. Seriously you didn’t know that?

Goochi Goochs I have to agree with you that Taiwan is more important to the US than Kuwait and so on because Taiwan is the only needle that can hurt the only Competitor of the US to maintaining world hegemony or world dominance. In this way the US can continue to bully the rest of the world and to maintain the wars in the Middle East and Africa, this is to sustain the American economy and keep things cheap for the American Public.

  7. You see the true story is there was a civil war going on in China between the Kuomingtang Government and the Communist Government in China. The Kuomingtang Government was loosing and was retreating and the last place they retreated to is the island of Taiwan. The Kuomingtang and it's supporters took all or most of the ships to transfer their troops and supporters to the island of Taiwan leaving very little sea worthy ships left on the mainland. So the communist government took the remaining sea worthy vessels to transport their troops towards the island of Taiwan. Whilst on their journey, the US military ships came in defence of the Kuomingtang ships and the island of Taiwan. The communist troops were only able to take civilian passenger boats towards Taiwan hence they were no match to the war ships of the United States of America. They were then left with no choice but to retreat back to the mainland. The US has since never stopped meddling in China's internal affairs because the US has been blocking the Chinese Government from taking over the last territory of the country. This the US has been doing even when they openly say they support the One China policy and only recognising Communist China. So tell me is it US hippocracy or the US double headded snake that Taiwan and China is not United as one country.

  8.  @b1ack0ops84  the difference between the US and the UK as compared to Taiwan and China is that the US achieve independence from the UK. This comparison will be more accurately depicted if you compare Taiwan as Texas and China as Washington. The reason I use this is because the KMT and the CPC was at 2 sides of the civil war in China. Just like the confederate states (the Southern states ) and the United States (northern States). In the Chinese civil war, the CPC won and pushed the KMT to retreat to Taiwan. In the American civil war, the Confederate States lost. Therefore the southern states came back to be part of the United States. If you look at it thus way, shouldn't Taiwan come back to be part of China? Taiwan is now not part of China because the US Military intervened into China when the terribly weakened CPC was tryi finish the Chinese Civil War and capture the KMT last Base. The US Government sent their mighty war ships to defend the KMT and fight the CPC who were chasing them on fishing boats heading towards Taiwan. The US Government was trying to break China apart 70 years ago and they are still trying to break China apart today.

  10.  Kathy Smith  I think Hong Kong will do very well if not for the western intervention and instigating of cessation. There are over 1,000 CIA Funded NGO's in Hong Kong working for cessation of Hong Kong and brainwashing the citizens into believing China is bad, dirty, uncivilised, against religion, has no freedom and authoritarian.

  12. I saw some other interviews of random Taiwanese students and they seem to be really brainwashed against the mainland. They seem to think that religion is not allowed on the mainland and they think that if you were to pray on the mainland you will be put in jail. They also think that you have no voting rights in Mainland China. They also think that you are not free to say anything on the mainland like if you do you will be put in jail. They have no idea what is going on in the mainland at all ... just like they are brainwashed like their Hong Kong counterparts.

  13. David Graves well they are just so wrong because the Central Government has been building mosques and churches and many other temples to encourage the Chinese citizens to have a religion. They have also spent Billions to restore dilapidated mosques especially in the Xinjiang area, where many of the videos of the demolition of these mosques has been spread round the world, what they didn’t show was that after the demolition, the government rebuilt them to be bigger and nicer.

  14. B Yang yes, the Chinese people voted for Xi JingPing as the president. His election is not a direct election but the system and way he is being voted to become the president is just like how Boris Johnson is being voted to be the Prime Minister of the UK, or all those in the British Commonwealth following the Westminster Style of Democracy.

  18. idiocracy is now a documentary if that was considered a referendum then there should be an international boycott of Taiwan, their goods and services and also sanctions be placed upon the new country of Taiwan. All trade and travel to and from Taiwan must be stopped.

  19. CHEC those who subscribe to @Brian Bort theory think that the country is as old as the political party ruling it. Therefore the US is only 4 years old, and the UK is only 5. Ha ha ha
