You can recognise the Chinese government in Taipei or the Chinese Government in Beijing but Taiwans is still a province of China. 99.5% of the World population recognise the Government of China in Beijing. 0.5% of the world population recognise the Government of China in Taipei. Honestly speaking it is only logical to recognise the Government in Beijing as it is based on logic, Natural law of Justice and basic Democratic principles.

It is just that Taiwan refused to compete under the People’s Republic of China that’s why the International Olympic Council allowed them to compete under Chinese Taipei.

  7. Chinese Taipei is ungrateful for not respecting the rules and they should be expelled from the Games if they continue down this path. Chinese Taipei is a part of China and cannot be separated. There is no such country as Taiwan as no International body and no country in the world recognise Taiwan as a country. All countries and all international bodies recognise Taiwan as a part of China.

We must respect the option of the majority of the people in the country. Taiwan must remain a part of China as per agreement and historical fact there is no discussion on this matter allowed.

  20. @SK-lt1so isn’t it according to democracy and that the opinions of the majority should be upheld ? Anything that happens in Taiwan for the Chinese people in Taiwan must be decided by the people of China. Therefore if you only look to the opinion of the 20+ million people and ignore the opinion of the 1.4 Billion it would go against the grain of logic. China is a democratic country and they always respect the wishes of the people, to allow the separation of Taiwan from the mainland is not democratic and cannot be accepted.
