  1.  Rob Lloyd.  No, and No. No America did not sign any agreement to protect Taiwan if necessary. America passed an act to protect Taiwan. No China has not acted aggressively against Taiwan. The US has acted aggressively against China by selling arms to Taiwan against their agreement. The US acted aggressively against China by sending high ranking officials to visit Taiwan, receiving the Taiwanese President and building new diplomatic offices in Taipei. All these are against the agreement the US has signed. These is considered acts of aggression as it is encouraging cessation of Taiwan from China and legitimising it as an independent country.

Taiwan has always been it's province, just separated by the US from the mainland administration when China was still a weak country. China never relinquished it's territory of Taiwan, China has never forgotten their brothers and sisters there in this island isolated by the US from the motherland.

Will Steady on the contrary, the people of China are very happy with the CCP because this Government has helped improved their lives so much that in the past 40 years they have never had it so good before.   10. zingerman11259 No the reason that most countries do not recognise Taiwan as a country is because they understand that Taiwan is part of China and they have signed an agreement to this effect. To support Taiwanese independence is an act of aggreesion and is going against their agreement. Taiwan is in such a state because of the intervention and the meddling of China’s internal affairs by the double headed snake of a country called the USA. They have also signed an agreement to recognise that there is only one china and that Taiwan is part of the People’s Republic of China.
