The main reason why there is a civil war in Myanmar today is because there was heavy foreign inference from the UK, Australia and the USA supporting these rebels with training, weapons and funds for decades. There were even advisors sent from the Australian Government appointed by the Australian Government for Aungsan Skyukii when she was ruling the country. If the UK, Australia and the USA left Myanmar to their own then this civil war need not have to even happen in the first place.

I have to say that the sentences passed out by the judges for these peaceful protesters were horribly punitive. They should have just been given a fine like £100 or something. 30 months jail is way too heavy.

@kateshew5070 these are peaceful protesters and they were just being charged with trimped up charges in the UK Kangaroo court. These protesters were very peaceful according to the International Rules Based Order.

@mehallica666 legally Taiwan is a Province. Legislatively Taiwan is also a province of China. Constitutionally Taiwan is a Province of China.

@jeffjohnson5053 do you have any legal documents that shows Japan's constitution encompass China or Nanjing ? If you look at the constitution of The Republic of China, it states that Taiwan is a part of China. If you disagree with the Republic of China's Constitution, then look at the Constitution of the People's Republic of China. This too states that Taiwan is a part of China. all 194 countries in the united Nation also recognises Taiwan as a province of China. Only 13 members of these recognises the Chinese Government as the DPP sitting in Taipei whilst the rest of the world recognises the Chinese Government in Beijing. All international organisations recognises Taiwan as a part of China. There is no international organisation that recognises Taiwan as a country.

The difference between Ukraine and Taiwan is ; 1. Ukraine is legally a separate country from Russia, whilst Taiwan is internationally recognised as part of China by all international organisations and all countries around the world. 2. The origins of the Russian people are in the land of Ukraine whilst the origin of the people of Taiwan are on the mainland of China. 3. The Ukrainians think that they are a separate country from Russia and has had independence from the USSR, whilst the People of China thinks that Taiwan is a part of China, and the people in Taiwan claims that the whole mainland belong to them.

Yes, in a way both the ROC and the PRC existed at the same time but usually when there is a civil war and when the civil war end there will be a victor and we the world will only refer to the victor of the civil war which in China's case is the PRC therefore the ROC technically doesn't really exist anymore.

Fact 1 - All countries in the world recognise Taiwan as a part of China. Fact 2 - 99.6% of world population recognises the Government of Beijing to be the legitimate Government of all of China including Taiwan. Whilst only 0.4% of the world population recognises the Government in Taipei to the legitimate Government of all of China. Fact 3 - the US lead misinformation keeps people thinking that Taiwan is a country and is independent so that the Military Industrial Complex can sell more arms to Taiwan and earn more money. Fact 4 - the US lead misinformation created a lot of fear within Taiwan to promote that there is a misinformation campaign by the CCP to interfere in Taiwan’s election process. Fact 5 - The US Government has been budgeting US Dollars 500 million every year for the past few years to create misinformation about China. This is stated in the US Government Websites too.

If you understand how the election process work in China you will agree with me that it is more democratic than the system being used in Taiwan because it is more equitable and it provides the people more ways to have a say in the running of their daily lives. The second thing is that the CPC did not crush the peaceful protests in 1989 as I initially thought they did. Now information has surfaced that the protests were foreign funded and the protesters left peacefully. The stories that we heard of the CPC crushing the student movements were all not true. The true hand behind the cross straits tensions are hyped up by the US lead media and the Military Industrial Complex not by the Chinese. How ? You keep hearing about the Chinese PLA fighter jets flying into Taiwans Air defense Zone, if you look at the actual Taiwan’s air defense zone you will notice that a huge part of the Taiwan’s air defense zone is over the Chinese Mainland. So when an airplane takes off or land in the province of Fujian it would have already violated Taiwan’s Air Defense Zone. The 2018 Protests were actually riots, where the so called peaceful protesters beat up women and Senior Citizens who do not want to participate in the protests. They also ambushed police officers who are off duty with axes, chopping knives, cross bows and metal rods with intention to kill the police officers. These protesters also beat up doctors and nurses who went on to treat the injured senior citizens who were beaten up by them for not protesting. There is also evidence that US Senators were on the ground directing these protesters what they should do and where they should go. There is also evidence of money trail from the Taiwan Foundation to fund the activities of these Hong Kong Protesters. However in the west you only see on the media that the police is arresting those people who were throwing knives shooting bow and arrows at police officer but you only see the arresting part or the part where the police fire tear gas not the part where these protesters attack the police.

⁠@martinfiedler4317 You need to go to china and understand what is actually happening there because from your response I can see you have an open mind but has been misinformed about China. China like Russia is multi-ethnic and they are vast. Although you see that China is only run by one political party there are several different political parties in China. The whole of China is run just like the United States of America where each individual Province or region is run autonomously. Unlike the USA where every state has their own laws, tax, courts, police and customs. China has a unified law where the law’s are made in a way that will suite all regions. However regionally they have their own set of laws that only apply to that region or province. There are also fully autonomous regions in CHina where the local provincial Government decides on everything that happens in that region with no interference from the Central Government other than the security of the land. Unlike Taiwan every ethnic group has the same and equal rights to housing, education, sustenance, work, security and political ideology. I just learned the other day that in Taiwan if you belong to a minority tribe you do not have full political rights and will not be able to participate in law making of the land. So I am rooting for a reunification of Taiwan to the mainland where the minority tribes will have a full say as to what happens in their lives.

⁠@buildmotosykletist1987 You do know that China has not conquered another country for over 1,000 years right ? So which country do you want to free from the CCP ? If you Know Chinese history you will know China’s expansion is not of conquering other countries but being conquered by other countries. Xinjiang was conquered by the Mongolians and when the Mongols ruled China they took the whole of their territories as one country and that was how Xinjiang became part of China. Tibet joined China to be a stronger nation from foreign invaders, first as equal partners and then became an integral part of the country.

@williamlim8866 I think otherwise because. On the mainland in China to be eligible to stand for election you need to be first qualified based on merits. How? Anyone who is eligible to stand for elections needs to have proven themselves in terms of service to the community before they are allowed to stand for election on the mainland. They also need to show that they have the proper education and academic qualifications too.

Yes, it is correct that anyone who stand for election needs to be a member of the CCP but disagreements and different points of views are always encouraged if there is substance. Unlike the Westminster Parliamentary system there is no need to tow the party line. Whether a person is elected or not depends on his merits as in his achievements and his contribution to the people. Each Government official has a KPI and these KPI's are clearly spelt out and published online and these criteria are available for everyone to see on the internet. So if you do not meet your KPI's you are not eligible to stand for election.

@buildmotosykletist1987 Yes, the pre-requisite is for someone to be a member of the CCP. What is the pre-requisite to be a CCP Member ? You need to be first and foremost the top of your class in your university degree program. Then you need to apply to be a community service personnel and only if you are able to fulfil these you will then be allowed to become a CCP member. When you are a CCP member what is the pre-requisite to be able to stand for election ? You need to fulfil your KPI which is published on the internet where everyone will see what you need to achieve before you are eligible to stand for election.
