@Zangetsu1435 The so called West Philippine Sea has been internationally recognised as part of Chinese Territory until recently. The USA was the one who helped China enforce and claim these parts of the South China Sea after the WWII. The USA military too was there to ensure nobody was encroaching in to these Chinese territory. However since around the 2010’s the USA has changed it’s stance and started hyping up this China threat of invading Philippine territory and started accusing China of invading other sovereignty. The USA keep bringing up an international law that the USA is not signatory to like the UNCLOS.

@hubertcumberdale2651 Take Vietnam for instance, The Chinese used to have the 11 dashed lines in the South China Sea after years of negotiations now the Chinese only claims the 9 dashed lines which the other part is now mutually agreed as Vietnamese territory.

@NEOSCISSORSJAGUARPRIME Tibet joined China over 1,000 years ago. This relationship was solidified after the Mongol invasion of Tibet and when the Mongols went further west Tibet was given to the son of Ghenghiz Khan who ruled China. Therefore Tibet has remained under the Chinese territory since. In the late 19th century and early 20th century the British tried to separate Tibet from China by instigating independence. This failed and then the British also illegally annexed a part of Tibet and called it part of India. This was done with a mere agreement of the British and a local provincial leader and it was not even agreed by the Governor of Tibet. That is why until today there is a territorial dispute between India and China. Several Chinese Presidents including President Xi has tried to talk to several Indian Prime Ministers including Modi to settle this dispute. However it seems to be in India’s interest not to settle this dispute for whatever reason. As all Indian Prime Ministers has never agreed to talk on a settlement before.

@aey2579 You are correct. I think China would like to dominate by trade. All they want to do is trade with nations around the world and this trade will influence the people to work together possibly even to China’s liking but most important of all they keep emphasising mutual benefits. So we outside of China need to be careful as not to trade away our interests. It’s just like doing business, we negotiate a deal, so we make sure that when we negotiate we are careful not to give away too much for too little.

@TH-mk3rp China has not drawn any dotted lines closer to any other nations in the region and does not have any intention to do so. These territories marked by the dotted lines has only reduced over the centuries, why are there so much hype over this now over the last few years ? The answer is USA, UNCLOS and USA not signatory to UNCLOS.

@Worldaffairslover having US Military bases benefits the host country ? What are the benefits ? If you say ; 1. More crime is a benefit - Yes 2. If you say crimes committed by US Soldiers and the local authorities will not be able to administer any justice - Yes 3. If you way there will be more vice in the host country - Yes 4. If you mean unnecessary pollution and destruction of the environment - Yes 5 If you way putting the lives of the people in harm’s way should the USA stir up an unnecessary conflict with a Neighbour - Yes 6. If you like your young women and young boys to be raped by US Soldiers with no recourse - Yes 7. If you allow your people to be murdered by US Soldiers and they get away scot free - Yes 8. If you want your economy to boom because of a lot of spending on vice - Yes

@Wise101 Do you know that ; 1. The whole world recognises that Taiwan is an island belonging to China? No country in this world and no international organisation in this world recognises Taiwan as a country. So Chinese invasion of Taiwan is like the Philippine invasion of Mindanao. 2. China NEVER said or mentioned any invasion of Taiwan. Only Western Governments and Western media always talk about a Chinese Invasion of Taiwan. The Chinese Government only say “If Taiwan separatists supported by the West declares independence, China must defend it’s own Sovereign territorial integrity and will not rule out the use of Force to defend herself if necessary.” Go check it out, the Chinese has always been very consistent on this stance.

@cannyeyes382 The big problem is that China didn’t break any international law, but the USA accuses China of breaking an international law that the USA doesn’t recognise. The USA is now spending hundreds of millions of US Dollar a year to creat more fake news on this to stir up the people and get the people to say China broke an international law so we must drive China out. Well the USA is spending US Dollar 300,000,000 every year on media to creat fake news on China.
