  9.  @dylanshaffer2184  LOL it’s time to remove your blinkers. Taiwan like the USA is one of the most controlled or brainwashed society in the world. Taipei is far from being a booming metropolis especially if you compare it with cities on the mainland, Taipei is merely a small village in the backwaters of China. Hong Kong has recently restored it’s peace and freedom contrary to what USA controlled media would like you to know. Now there is more freedom and peace in Hong Kong and people can now express what they feel and what they think unlike in 2019 when people are only allowed to be anti-Government if you were not Anti-Government you will be bludgeoned until you agree that the Government is bad. Otherwise they will kill you if you do not agree to be anti-Government. Contrary to your belief the United States of America actually declared that they recognise that Taiwan is an integral part of China. The United States of America also have agreed to recognise that there is only One China with it’s capital in Beijing. The EU, ASEAN, Britain and Australiasia has the Moral Duty to defend China from the Aggressive Attack and invasion of China’s Taiwan by the United States of America. The only difference is that the Australians and the British may not have the intelligence to do what is right. Of course there is censorship in the USA if not you will not be saying what you are saying now. There is plenty of censorship in the USA and the bigger evil is that you are not allowed to know that there is censorship in the USA. Do you know that there are many articles, TV programs and News that are deliberately taken off the air in the USA because it projects a positive light about China ? No you don’t know because it is censored. Do you also know about the social credit score system that is currently being practiced in the United States of America? Do you also know that the Social Credit Score system practiced in the USA has been in place for over half a century ? Do you know that you are not allowed to know what your social credit score is in the USA? There is also no way for you to repair your social credit score in the USA too. At least in China, you are allowed to know what your social credit score is and you can repair it. Isn’t this kind of transparency more important ? Doesn’t this kind of transparency give you more freedom to control your own life and your own destiny? It’s really time for you to remove your blinkers to see the real world and not to be continually brainwashed by the USA Propaganda machinery.

  20. Kin Fong Yeung No the main housing problem stems from the colonial era and it’s policies. Let me tell you why: 1. The tax structure of Hong Kong is too low and it will not be able to support it’s infrastructures and social services. The only thing funding these is the fact that the Hong Kong Government must sell land to the highest bidder and this is controlled by a few families in Hong Kong. The other factor funding these infrastructures in Hong Kong is the subsidies from the Chinese Communist Party. 2. The land usage policies in Singapore were very effective as it allows the HDB to have a far reach to what they deem necessary so as to allow the use of land for public good. This is totally not acceptable by Hong Kong Standards as it is against the philosophy of the Free Market Economy that Hong Kong treasures so much and what the Hong Kong opposition politicians has been using as an excuse to bring down any development plans by the ruling Hong Kong Government. 3. Hong Kongers will Never be able to accept a higher income tax bracket as they are so engrained in to their minds that this is the best for them. The restructuring of the Hong Kong income tax structure will be met with too much resistance from not only the opposition politicians but also the rich elites and also the urban poor of Hong Kong too. These are the few things that I can see are major obstacles that the Hong Kong governments will not be able to overcome or it may take decades to overcome to achieve what Singapore has. The only way that this can be used to resolve the Hong Kong Crisis would be the acceptance of Hong Kong that they are more integrated in to Mainland laws and system Then this would be able to be done for the benefits of the Hong Kong people. otherwise it will forever remain as it is, just a dream.

  28.  @merkymurk7534  Please find a little time to learn about Hong Kong, it’s history and it’s people. Hong Kong was one of the most dangerous cities in Asia all the way until the mid 1980’s. It was ridden in crime, corruption and poverty. The people are hard working and smart. However they are not very well trained or educated. When China started opening up, Hong Kong became the gateway to do business in or with China. That was when Hong Kong started to thrive and become more wealthy. Hong Kong due to the opening up of China mainly Shenzhen became an economic miracle and an Asian tiger. Now Hong Kong is no longer the Gateway to doing business in China they are no longer as important economically as compared to it’s hey days in the 1980’s and 19990’s. Hong Kong has always been a very capitalist society since the British colonial days. It has the lowest tax and the most free economy in the world. In fact more free as compared to the USA and the UK too. That is why capitalism has thrived and those who made it are really very rich. In a purely capitalist society the rich will be able to control not only the whole economy but also the Government too. That is why the social elites in Hong Kong who controls the whole market especially the property market makes the real estate prices of Hong Kong so high and unaffordable to the local population. In every purely capitalist society, the gap between the rich and poor is very wide. That is why you will see huge dissatisfaction amongst it’s population. When the middle class grow’s and see these inequitable distribution of wealth there will be protests on the streets just like that, that has been happening in Hong Kong for the past 2 years. These protests has been fuelled and financed by the CIA to destabilise China as Hong Kong and Taiwan are the last few remaining pawns that the CIA can use to destabilise China and have full control over the development of china. In this way Corporate America will continue to tap in to cheap labour in China so that they can maximise their profits. These profits will then be brought to tax havens and will never benefit the people of the USA.
