  30.  @EdgelordOfEdginess  any evidence of China bullying any other country ? I have not seen any at all. It is always the aggression against China that I have seen so far. Take for example the South China Sea, those islands has always been recognised as Chinese territory by the United Nations. Since the UNCLOS, there has been several countries making claims on these islands. Now China is proposing to share the resources with these countries and jointly develop these places. Isn’t that benevolent and something to admire instead of hating? Another example would be the Arunalchal Pradesh, this was part of Chinese territory. The British unilaterally annexed this piece of and and gave it to India on their independence. 3 Chinese Presidents has proposed to 3 Indian Prime Ministers to agree and accept this as a fact and move on. However all 3 Indian Prime Ministers refused to talk to the 3 Chinese Presidents to agree on this issue but still encroach on to more Chinese territories on a regular basis and worse of all Play the Victim Card. If this is not India bullying China I don’t know what is. The Japanese Emperor Agreed with the Allied forces during the surrender of the WWII to return the Shenkaku islands or Diaoyu Islands back to China together with Taiwan as a term of the surrender. The USA took these Shenkaku or Diaoyu islands for special administrative purpose for a period of time and then when they were done with it. The USA gave it back to the Japanese instead of China, thus creating an unnecessary tension between the Chinese and the Japanese until today. Isn’t this china being bullied again ? So now you can take your quarter and run out of here. Scoot ! ! !

  105.  @MarkGoding  if you actually read history of China and Tibet then you will know that Tibet was conquered by the Mongols who formed the Yuan Dynasty. Tibet has been part of China ever since so please let me know how is this considered China’s expansionist policies in the current day? Please elaborate on the debt trap that China has been doing then I will show you the evidence that these so called China’s debt trap is actually good for the recipient countries and it is much better than what is offered by the debts from Western countries. At least they are better in : 1. They have a lower interest rate 2. They do not come political conditions 3. They do not come with politics commitments from the current Government towards the Western Government. These Chinese loans has no such requirements. 4. 85% of the time that a country who has problems fulfilling their repayments to China, China has seek to temporarily waive the payment or done a restructuring on their loans. I did not say this but it is on record from Government officials who has taken Chinese Loans. 5. These loans do not come with a condition on human rights commitments from the recipient country. 6. These loans do not come with any conditions of labour rights commitment from the recipient countries 7. These loans also do not come with a commitment to allow Big corporations from China to be given special access to their markets. 8. These loans are sometime repaid using a barter trade for the natural resources of the country. If you compare this condition with a Western country’s aid to a developing country then you will know that the Western power will state that the receiving country allow a Western power to set up a company in the receiving country to exploit their resources and pay back only a mere royalty to the Government. These royalties are so small it is not enough to even pay for anything to help develop the country. Whereas China goes in and help to provide tangible developments for the progress of the people there.

  270. Let's evaluate this question objectively and see whether Taiwan is a country or not. 1. All countries in this world recognises that there is only one China and that Taiwan is a part of China. Therefore making Taiwan to be not a country. 2. All countries in the world recognises the legitimate Government of all of China to sit in Beijing. Only 13 pacific nations recognise that the legitimate Government of all of China to sit in Taipei (Taiwan). Therefore Taiwan is not a country. 3. All international organisations in the world recognises that Taiwan is a part of China. There is no international organisations that recognises Taiwan as a country. Therefore Taiwan is not a country. 4. Taiwan has its own Government. Does this make Taiwan a sovereign country ? Let's examine this in context of other territories. Greenland has its own Prime Minister but Greenland is a part of Denmark. Northern Ireland has its own Government but Northern Ireland is a part of the UK. Scotland has its own Government too and Scotland is a part of the UK. All 50 states in the USA have their own Government and own set of laws and tax laws too, but they all belong to the same country of the USA. Sabah is a country but it does not have their own Government but Sabah is a part of Malaysia. Singapore used to have their own Prime Minister but Singapore used to be a part of a country called Malaysia. So base on these examples Taiwan is not an independent country. 5. Taiwan have their own set of currencies does that make Taiwan an independent country ? Scotland has their own currency too, does that Make Scotland an independent country ? NO. Hong Kong has their own currency too does that make Hong Kong a separate country ? NO In fact Hong Kong has 3 sets of currencies 1 issued by HSBC, 1 set issued by Standard Chartered Bank and 1 more issued by the Bank of China. So based on this fact, no Taiwan is not an independent country. 6. Taiwan has their own passport, does that make Taiwan an independent country ? If you look at the so called Taiwanese Passport it actually says Taiwan, China. So it is a Chinese passport for a person from the territory of Taiwan. So therefore this argument holds no water. Does this make Taiwan an independent country ? NO 7. What does Taiwanese gain from being an independent country ? An opportunity to determine their own future and make their own laws. OK agreed. However the question remains what is the difference when Taiwan is a part of China? Taiwan will still be able to make their own laws and determine their own future. This is guaranteed under the One Country Two System promised by the mainland. 8. What does Taiwan loose for being an independent country? 60% of the total Taiwanese economy will be destroyed if Taiwan becomes independent. The reason is because 60% of Taiwan's trade is with the mainland. This is only what we can see what about the tourists from the mainland and other Chinese territories ? There will be a huge loss of tourist dollar income from China's mainland, Hong Kong and Macao as citizens of these countries will not have a passport that would be valid to travel to a country called Taiwan. So the question is are Taiwanese willing to size down their economy by say 80% just to be so called independent ? I seriously do not think so. Think about this Taiwanese people.
