@KSfreaky No, it is all the USA's fault. If the USA did not send their warships and aircraft carriers to stop the Communists from approaching the island, then this would Never have happened. This would not even be a question.

@minghuang1680 Yes, I know that the people in Tibet, Xinjiang and most of the people in Hong Kong are happier than they once were. Only those in Hong Kong who has been brainwashed are not happy. Those who has left Hong Kong for the West are now suffering. Those who has left Hong Kong for Taiwan are also still suffering too.

There is no benefit for Taiwan to be independent. I only see loss for the Taiwanese people if they were to be independent or if they declare independence. 1. I want to ask the people of Taiwan if they are prepared to be very poor, starve to death and have no medicine for their hospitals. 2. I want to ask the Taiwanese people if they are prepared to be totally isolated from the rest of the world. 3. I want to ask the Taiwanese people if they are prepared to be totally isolated from the rest of the world with no protection. 4. I want to ask the Taiwanese if they are prepared to be totally self sufficient and be totally isolated from the rest of the world. If so then please declare independence.
