  1. The Tax Base in Malaysia is also much smaller at probably about 20% of the population possibly less too. Muslims in Malaysia are required to pay zakat & whatever is paid to Zakat is offset against their tax. Whilst on the other hand the nob-Muslimd only get a relief in the taxable income.
