Firstly these territory were illegally & unilaterally annexed by the British under the protest of both Lhasa & Beijing. As an imperialist power & whilst China was in the middle of the civil war & being attacked by the Japanese in the Sino-Japanese War the British just categorically ignored these protests & illegally occupied these lands. Both Beijing & Lhasa never recognised these annexation & has been fighting it ever since. This so called incursion really started when the Modi Government Carthographically changed names of several areas in Aksai Chin & Arunachal Pradesh, where in the eyes of international law it is considered Carthographic aggression against China. Therefore the Chinese came over to take it back.

This standoff really started after the Indian Government Carthographically annexed the Chinese controlled parts of South Tibet into Aksai Chin, Ladakh & Arunachal Pradesh. Then the Chinese took action to protect their Sovereignty. This is the part that EAM deliberately left out whenever he talks about this issue.

Actually the Chinese has been trying to negotiate with successive Indian Prime Ministers since Nehru but the Indian side thinks it can force China to accept the Indian demands without any give & take that's why until today the only land border dispute China has is with India. Out of the 18 Countries China borers the only country that the dispute is still going on is with India go figure.

Actually the Qing (Ching) Government & Lhasa did not agree with the British on the unilateral annexation of parts of Tibet and they were protesting non-stop. However imperial Power as the British were just ignored & put in their own narrative against the protest of the Chinese (Qing) Government. At that time China was engulfed in a civil war & at the same time being attacked by the Japanese in the Sink - Japanese War the British just stole Southern Tibet from them.
