@fireballfpv1207 the facts are such; During the Chinese civil war, the Kuomingtang Government was loosing ground to the Chinese Communist Government. They then took all the sea worthy vessels to flee to Taiwan which is the last outpost under the Kuomingtang Government control. Only small fishing boats were left on the mainland due to the mass migration of Kuomingtang army, and their families. The Communist Government took the remaining fishing boats and gave chase. Thanks to the US Navy, they came in between the Kuomingtang and the Communist and gave the Kuomingtang protection and escorted them to the island of Taiwan. Fishing boats were no match for US war ships. Therefore the Communist retreated back to the mainland. After the second world war, the terms of surrender of the Japanese Imperial Army was to relinquish all the lands that they have taken. The Allies are to take and give these lands back to their sovereign nations. The US Government took the Shenkaku Islands (also known as the Diaoyu Islands) from the Japanese and instead of returning it to China. The US Government occupied it for a few decades and later returned it to Japan instead of China as agreed under the terms of surrender after the second world war. The Spratleys islands were part of the Chinese territory recognised by the UN at the beginning until the enactment of the Law of the Seas by the United Nations. Then thinks to the US, they stoke the ASEAN countries to claim these islands and now, the US is patrolling these islands thousands of kilometres from the US on the pretext of ensuring freedom of navigation in the South China Sea, where there were Never any problems of navigation. Please then give me your American imagination of skewed logic.

OMG this is illegal where I come from. How can this happen in the USA ?

Fireball FPV China really have a lot to thank USA for all these disputes. Without America there wouldn’t have been so many disputes by China.
3
Robert Hadden Without America meddling in ASEAN, the ASEAN Countries had already resolved the matter with China. Now with the meddling of America and Australia it is all escalating again.

Well zoom now requires the host to approve the participant to join in the meeting. So I think it would already address the zoom bomb issue.
3
Daniel-ie8si It doesn't work that way. Over 14 years ago the whole world has already agreed to move towards a chip based & PIN payment where if the card transaction is approved there is no dispute based on this. This problem was only existence in the USA and no where else in the world.

I was proposing for BBM to be a Super App back in 2013 but both users and BBM Management people rejected the idea they like the convenience of having many different apps instead of all these apps integrating in to one. So I guess no it will not happen.

@turbine1 Being in the industry I would say that cost of card acceptance is really negligible. The average cost of accepting a Visa / MasterCard / Discover will be approximately 1.4% - 1.7% whereas acceptance of a Diners Club Card or JCB is approximately 2% - 3% whilst acceptance of an American Express is approximately 2.5% - 3.5%. If you are talking about WeChat Pay or AliPay or other Asian payment systems it is as low as 0.8% - 1.2%. I would say this is totally negligible.

CNBC has made a mistake, the Chinese CBDC is actually a Block Chain based technology not what it is reported here.

Wow so cheap ? $2.75 a can? It’s $25 - $30 a can here ! ! !

American media is all state media. The reason is because these media owners control the Government in the USA and through the USA’s Government control over 90% of the world media. Whereas we all know that the media in China are owned by the Chinese Government hence most people consume it with a pinch of salt. People consuming known state media will tend to be a little more skeptical about what they consume compared to people consuming State media that claims they are non-state media, they let all their guards down and simply believe it.

@nishanthramakrishnan3362 I'm not in India nor China and QR Pay is easier and better than using a card. I am consciously moving away from Visa and MasterCard as I know these two card payments has been weaponised by the USA to not only steal my data but also to control the local businesses wherever I spend my money with it. It's time to move away from Visa / MasterCard / American Express and Discover

@oshgoshbyskosh I don't know where you are from, here where I am certain convenience stores, supermarkets and restaurants no longer accepts cash. Cash handling is more expensive than using a digital payment like a card or an e-wallet.
1
@weksauce If you are charged the Merchant Discount Fee for using the card, you can complain to your bank and they will refund it back to you and terminate the merchant for breach of Contract.
1
@oshgoshbyskosh It's a choice made by the USA. Even the chip and pin by MasterCard and Visa was implemented last in the USA. They say that the charge back or the dispute is so little they don't mind bearing the losses. The rest of the world has implemented a Chip and Pin transaction years ahead of the USA.

@weksauce Where I come from there are no such thing as a cash only gas station as all gas stations are required to accept card payments. There is no difference in the prices we pay for gas regardless of a cash or card payment.
1
@weksauce The thing is, some times it is cheaper to pay for things or even a meal using a card because there is a promotion for using this card. However if I do opt to pay for something using cash there is no difference in the price I pay. Regardless of the % of merchant fee being charged as a consumer I don't pay more but sometimes I pay less using a card. Make sense ?

If I am not mistaken China was kicked out from being able to use GPS that’s why they needed to build their own system. In terms of security I will trust the Chinese more than the Americans as the USA is known for eve’s dropping and spying on everyone around the world and then manipulate people to the USA’s benefit and creating wars. Whist the Chinese has no history of doing such, there is only claims by the USA and their lap dogs that China cannot be trusted.
1
@Lucifer-fj7mg yeah the threat from China is because China is developing so fast and registering more than double the amount of patents around the world for the past decade. The other biggest threat is because China’s economy is now bigger than the USA that’s why China is a big threat. So we must all do everything to stop CHina from developing ? This is a joke really.
