vivek menon Tibet has been part of China for over a thousand years. Thanks to the British and the Indians, a small part of Tibet managed to be an independent country for a few months.

One more thing that makes this more messy is because the British who decided the borders did not consult China, the British only decided on their own and gave it to India. This time the Indians says that the Chinese incurred in to their territory. whilst on the other side the Chinese says that the Indians has incurred in to their territory too. Who is correct and who is wrong? We will never really be able to know, however both India and China needs to work together on this because when India and China work together the whole world wins.

@Ari-cd3sn on the contrary, I think China has helped Tibet a lot. It is now more free and prosperous as compared to the time that the Dalai Lama was running it under the Qing Dinasty.

@tenzinnyima2792 the Chinese Government liberated Tibet from servedom in 1959 is that considered a betrayal? Would you like to live as a serve or are you one of the elite landlords that own the people and treat them as your property? Those landlords do not treat the ordinary Tibetan citizens as humans but sub animal, meaning that they are worth less than the pigs and the cattle in their farms. How can any decent human being accept such conditions for another human being? This is totally beyond me. Please update yourself about this pandemic. There is clear evidence that this virus did not start in China. The whole worlds media is confirming it. There is so much evidence that the virus has been spreading in several countries before it was even discovered in Wuhan. Please go read up on this information first and don't keep repeating propaganda that was spread at the beginning of the pandemic.

M1 India firstly you need to find these concentration camps then you will have to find out if the people are happy or not. The only concentration camp that I know of that is currently still existing is in Guantanamo Bay where several Uighers, Pakistanis, Afghans, and many more from the Muslim world are being detained without charge and without trial for almost 20 years now. I don't think they are happy at all.

@jancyvargheese5351 you have no idea what you are talking about. Who wants independence and where we're never a part of China and that China doesn't want to give them independence? China has not conqured any country for hundreds of years. The Chinese people and their philosophy has been at peace for a thousand years. If you understand and read about history of China then you would understand the term sinosied . This is a common effect for any country or empire that has conquered China for over a thousand years. When a civilisation conqured China, they will somehow assimilate into becoming Chinese therefore even the people who are still living in the land that these fullers come from start to become Chinese by assimilation. Tibet and Xinjiang did not conqured China they opted to be part of China and hence they were not sinosised.

M1 India why would the USA have done the right thing when they can catch someone, put them behind bars and not tell them what their crime was for 20 years? If you said the USA Has done the right thing why not charge them for a crime and out them behind bars legally ? What gives the USA the right to go in to another country without permission to capture someone and out them behind bars in Guantanamo Bay, without charge and without trial? Don't you believe in justice? Don't you think everyone is innocent until proven guilty ? Don't you think everyone deserve the right to be told what their crime is and given the right to defend themselves? Why is it OK for these people to be put in jail without their right to defend themselves for their crimes ?

@tenzinnyima2792 Tibetan people are also Chinese people. Chinese people have 55 different ethnicity and speaks 5 major different languages. The Chinese race look very different some look Polynesian, some look mongolic, some look turkic and some look Caucasian. China is not an ethnic state but a civilisation state therefore it is wrong to say that Tibetans are not Chinese. The Communist Government came in to Tibet to liberate Tibet from servedom and stop the treatment of human beings as animals or property. After the Liberation, ordinary Tibetans can live in a house and not a barn, Tibetans can eat human food and not pigs food. Isn't this better than living as an animal ?

Tibetans is also ethnically Chinese, as there are 56 different ethnic groups in China and China has 5 official languages.

This article only seem to say all incursions and incidents are always caused by the Chinese and that the Indians are the best. Can this even be true when India has been very hostile towards China ?
