Ian is a casual kind of guy. You won't see him get to animated or giddy over things. Just another day on the job so to speak.

Middle of firefight: Ian "Let's try a a Spanish magazine in this thing." 2:30 2:40 2:56 3:16

Your style of facial hair makes you look very pre-ww1 French, which is good in light of the fact that you are featuring a French weapon from the same time period. Throw on a French Adrian helmet for good effect!
4
Man, you must be quite old. I must admit, I had to google that one. I feel old whenever someone tells me that they have never heard of Captain Caveman.
3
Would like to see this thing demonstrated at the range by you guys.
3
Well it was more from a standpoint of the German's in the gun making business that wanted to get paid for producing these guns. Got to keep those Reichsmarks coming, even in the waning days of the war.
2
Well the grip was still meant to fit the normal size hand of the average joe firing this thing. The grip just looks "little" compared to the gargantuan proportions of this gun.
2
Did Smith & Wesson weld your chairs? If they did you were in good hands. It ain't pretty, but it does the job.
2
Fed Ex will leave it on your front porch (where it will get stolen). USPS and UPS will leave it on your back porch. (I'd go with these last two). DHL?
2
That price would put it out of the realm of reality for most of us. But I am sure anyone in Lebron James's financial league can afford it. Charlie Sheen strung out on coke... Or Nick Nolte two sheets to the wind... Or imagine Mick Jagger and Keith Richards (a living mummy) paired up for this one... The disturbing possibilities are endless in absurdity. Don't let Trump have it though, we don't need to hear anymore of his bombastic claims, "I have the biggest muzzle loading cannon ever!" (waving his right hand with each mispronounced word) "I am a stable genius with the biggest muzzleloader ever, so look out Iran..." As for the "compressed Volkswagen" why waste such a fine automobile, shove Donald Trump down the muzzle and aim for the moon! All we'd see is a glowing orange ball and a flapping red tie (made in China of course).
2
...and Trump's political legacy.
2
2:59 This looks like something straight out of Victor Frankenstein's lab, where this gun is actually creeper looking than the "daemon."
2
0:56 Alright Ian! We want you to load up a belt of that 37mm and let her rip! 5:16 Missing parts, darn.
2
This looks like something that should have been featured in your Poacher Guns video from Zimbabwe. 3:16 Ah just smear a little bit of Elmer's glue in there to hold it all together. 🤔 The real miracle behind all this is that the person who fired this gun was not injured or killed.
1
I'd say this thing looks like something from German's "last ditch" weapons cache intended for the Volkssturm.
1
Those sure are some weird looking guns. Even more strange looking than something you would have seen as a movie prop for some low-budget science fiction movie, or something that the volkssturm would have had as a last ditch weapon 50 years later.
1
Ian only laughed once after pulling the trigger. Hickok45 giggles every time he pulls the trigger. So, who is having more fun?
1
I am sure the Sportsman's Guide might have a great mail order deal. Make sure you have their "Buyers Club" so you can maximize the savings. Maybe Cabela's has some of this in stock.
1
@spikespa5208 Won't happen. I can count on my trusty bicycle chain lock to secure this beast in place, which will serve to foil the efforts of the neighborhood package thieves on this mission. For added security, maybe I’ll chain a Pitbull to it as well to deter the really determined 150 ton cannon thief.
1
@Mr-Trox Politics is in everything. So, no "asshole" here at all, aside from those who want to walk around blindly and pretend that politics is irrelevant.
1
@Mr-Trox Oh, so now that is a "fact" because you said so?
1
@youtubeisgarbage900 "rent free" for one term only. :elbowcough:

11:50 Make a full auto version of the MP44, but it is not available for the civilian market? Who would be buying these? Certainly not any military or police in the world today. I can't see any German police agencies putting in an order for these. In like manner, I can't see the NYPD SWAT leadership thinking, "We ought to put in an order for these to equip our team."
1
20:21 The Savage pistol looks like some kind of prop from an early episode of Lost In Space.
1
3:58 Probably not all that comfortable to shoot this gun in that position (especially if you are firing slugs).
1
Ian's stash and goatee are something of an "anachronism." (kidding) Good video as always.
1
Unlike most german guns of the time period, this is one ugly duckling.
1
We can see why Mauser's action a few years later dominated the battlefields of the early part of the 20th century.
1
The other option is to buy an original surplus V-2 from James D. Julia Auctioneers and launch it from 2000 ft. away at the guy hiding behind his car and house.
1
7:08 More like a thief of exquisite artwork.
1
Ian, Is it true that the LAPD tried to equip their SWAT team with these in the early 1970's, but the City Council in concert with the Mayor intervened against this proposal?
1
3:29 The bipod only appears to high to one who may be too short. For the guy at 6'4", he probably would find this bipod to be just dandy. Now if you are 5'3", well that may present some problems.
1
How about a reproduction that incorporates of few modern conveniences: chamber for .357 or .44, weaver rail under the barrel for Streamlight, and night sights?
1
Why does he have to be white? 🤨
1
That thing sure is ugly
1
Ian, is it true that Pancho Villa was known to have carried one of these pistols?
1
Quite a weird looking gun for sure. Nevertheless, would like to see one of these in action.
1
12:32 So, with quality considerations, it's kind of comparable to the "Last Ditch" weapons of 1945 in the Third Reich
1
Ian, you are too hard on your range performance with this gun. We understand that you are not necessarily a marksman, however, you are quite knowledgeable and you have an excellent and riveting approach to presenting material on a sundry of weapons too numerous to mention. So again, good job.
1
If you don't like the stock, how do you feel about the AK under folder stocks?
1
They were already in the chat, long before you, me, or anyone else.
1
Ian, that is one seriously ugly gun! If Frankenstein had been a machine gunner, this would have been his gun for sure.
1
My new concealed carry gun. ðŸ¤
