@munno4041 , habibi, life hasn't taught you yet that what is stated in the Koran and what muslims REALLY do are two very, very different things? What are you, five?

There's a tribe in Amazonia, the Amondawas, that doesn't have a concept of time. It's very interesting in fact. Somehow I get the feeling that people in this interview possess a similar mindset: "yesterday a muslim, today a muslim, tomorrow a muslim, always a muslim". I wonder if they would claim Lucy the Australopithecus as their sister in faith if they knew of her existence or believed in Evolution.

There was a snippet of an al-jazeera interview of an old palestinian lady a couple of days ago on the Telegraph yt channel. After the journalist queried her on the international help the Gazans were receiving, she answered that they get none as everything is rerouted by Hamas to their tunnel operations. She actually said that they may kill her for saying that but it's the truth. To which the journalist in a typically al-jazeerian unbiased fashion shamelessly replied: "it seems the situation is UNCLEAR". To me she is the most honest Palestinian ever.

@sarahcamille4783 , out of curiousity, how do you or Muslims if you can speak for some of them, reconcile Islam with the Theory of Evolution? Surely you have biology in school or uni, so someone must teach it and be taught to be abreast with modern science. So do you guys reject/ignore it completely or adopt a more flexible approach, whatever that may be?

above the differences but would not marry to anyone not from their own

Even the most liberal and tolerant muslim palestinian will show his inherent bias as a Hamas supporter. How predictable.
2
Isn't it safe to assume that there were no muslims before Islam even became a thing? If they don't get it, it's kinda worrisome, don't you think? After all they base their claim on the lands "from the river to the sea" on historic events that happened BEFORE the appearance of Islam of which, it is now apparent, they know very little or nothing at all.
2
I didn't quite catch, was it I'll try to counsel him or I'll try to cancel him? Or it's basically the same?
2
Right, muslims of the world rejoice at the news of massacres of civilians, women and children on October 7th and then wonder when they will ever be given love. IDF will now give you love aplenty, stand in line.
2
Haha, you better prepare yourself that in 200 years turks will claim all of Anatolian greek digs and heritage as that of their ancestors. And it would be too unPC for greeks to object lest the turks become offended.
2
So the dunce that said she was muslim before Islam said that because the question was worded poorly? That's an interesting twist.

Такие условности, писаные вилами на воде, уму непостижимо, что за них некоторые считают себя вправе убивать и насиловать.

The most preposterous BS I've ever heard and read came always after "believe me". I find it amusing that people still think that "believe me" and "I can attest to this" are supposed to convince others of your truthfulness. Just how naive and self-important you must be?
1
@priomquraishi1164 , where does your personal knowledge of the Theory of Evolution come from?
1
At least you're not that stupid to think that your ancestors had been Christian before Jesus was even born. The concept that there was something else before Islam seems alien to some of them.

арабам плюнь в глаза, скажут -- божья роса

Why? Would it be offensive for an Italian to admit that before his ancestors became Christian they had been deeply involved with the Roman polytheism? Surely Italians learn that much in school and know there were some beliefs before Christianity? Many of these folks seem to ignore that there even was something before Muhammad. It would seem as if the whole concept of history before Islam is alien to them. Now that's worrying, wouldn't you say? That's some mental block or wilful ignorance or abysmally poor school education.
1
@altrefrontiere2354 , whoa, hold your horses, buddy, there's no need to be triggered. It's a legit question in my books and according to my experience. The Italians I've known had no issues discussing with me the religious side of Ancient Rome, early christian heresies and beliefs of the then freshly arrived Lombards in particular, so naturally your testimony seemed a tad dramatic to me. Quite possibly it was my luck to meet just the sensible italians and not your thin-skinned kind.

it's the funniest answer hands down
1
If there's anybody daft here, it's you. You didn't get the intent of the question at all. Of course nobody can know his ancestry for 1400 years, that's not the point. It was to check the reasoning, if muslims acknowledge the fact that their ancestors believed something else before they became muslimized. And it immediately became apparent that they struggle with that idea which to any modern and minimally educated person is as plain as day. Surely, even a dunce like you knows that before you ancestors became christian they had been pagans for millenia.
1
"muslims before Islam"...they are not even getting the absurdity of their answers. They're like that tribe from deep Amazonia that has no concept of time.
1
everybody can become a Christian as well, even you, if someone says otherwise he's a peabrain
1
So you're saying that Pakistan is in the 14th century while Palestine has advanced to the 18th? Go Palestine! You're doing great! Another three centuries and you'll reduce the time gap from the civilized world to not even 200 years. Yay!
1
well, Yasser Arafat got a Nobel prize, believe it or not, for Peace. I know, it seems a joke now.
1
@designerappealing994 , and who would you be? A castrated lyon of Gaza?
1
I wouldn't call a million-strong comunity small. There's a considerable flow of Druzes from Israel to Lebanon and Syria judging by what the old man in the beginning said. However, he did also state that Druze women can only marry Druze men which obviously goes against the freedom of a human, a woman in this case to marry whomever she likes as she's going to face considerable social pressure to marry within the group.
1
@AaAa-pf7tj , "not so unusual" doesn't make it right. FGM is also not so unusual in some countries. And the old man stated this onus to marry among your own in stronger terms than your "not so biggie". With due respect, I'll take his word over someone who "has a friend".
