@jtomyhope575 psychopath’s need medical help not laws or waiting lists. How is this not ridiculously clear. What you achieve with that is one of two things. Either they buy a black market gun that can’t be traced and makes law enforcement job even harder, or the person just waits a little longer to commit their crime. How the focus is on the final act by someone with a clear mental health crisis instead of recognizing and preventing mental health crises and treating them when they do pop up is beyond me

@viadharmawheel so all the women out there who have an abusive partner who is stalking them but they can’t get a restraining order yet and the police don’t have a way to intervene yet not only have to wait for the guy to get abusive and attack her but they can’t purchase a weapon to defend themselves because they have to wait 2 weeks? That’s genius right there. That will solve all the problems. 2 week waits will definitely prevent these cases of sick individuals who planned for months of not years from acting out, that makes perfect sense

@maniac50ae14 helping you make friends is actually one of the few things they can do. That is actually part of therapy and a reasonable expectation of Therapist, unlike expecting them to somehow change laws

@stuckpencil2509 it needs to be 69 years. You have to be at least 21 if not 25 to apply and then wait the 69 year waiting period and then you’re set for the final 9 years max of your life…if you’re still alive. Perfect plan.

@backagain5216 I don’t and never will own a firearm but sure keep acting like a 12 year old to anybody who dares respond to you with anything but total affirmation, that will move the needle and save lives for sure. Thanks for proving my point about the inability of people on either side of this debate to have a mature discussion about their points of agreement and disagreement as well, let alone come to a compromise. As much blood is on all of your hands, left and right, for refusing to ever compromise and take what you can get when you can get it. Lastly, grow up, you have no place in such conversations if you can’t help but characterize someone taking the time to type out a coherent response as being “angry” and likely to shoot a place up. That’s the type of childish insults that pushes mentally unstable kids over the line in school, at least they’re children though, what’s your excuse?
