  1. I don’t recall that the wife was in I’ll health. But she didn’t want to live in a truck or a car. He also did not want to move out of the area they were in for cheaper rent. They wouldn’t have had to go far for cheaper rent, but he didn’t want to leave the immediate area. Ultimately her family found a place, relatively local, in a senior community. He didn’t want to live in that senior community. He thus made plans to go into a roommate situation. He talks about that situation in this video. I’m dubious that the senior community wanted DNA checks on dogs but I would expect that the community would have wanted a shot record and a requirement that people pick up after their dogs poop. Every senior living situation I’m aware of and I’m in the same state wants dogs licensed with shot records. Most places would want a deposit for cleaning regarding your pet as well so that they have the funds to clean up if you don’t. Most places allow a limited number of pets in their facility as they know it brings comfort to seniors.
