In an article I read he paid back 1.1 mil , which I believe was the money he was given for the speaking engagements he didn’t do.

@originalmamagrizzly2478 immigration isn’t the issue when it comes to swampy politicians and community members such as Brett. This is clearly about the governor of Mississippi , his cronies, and people such as Brett taking away resources from a particular population who are not deemed worthy. A governor and system created over time to insure that the playing field is not equitable. This was purposeful and deliberate. Unfortunately with states such as Mississippi there is a lot of redlining that gives the vote to a particular demographic interested in limiting the vote of the majority in that state. People needs to get their heads out the sand pay attention to what is going on and stop playing into the ridiculous of entertainment news.

Judy…lol… that was my first thought. This is the type of stuff the majority culture doesn’t want to talk about.

@t.c.3027 I’m sure there were other things as well, but since he was quick to pay back back the 1.1 mil that was there was admittance of guilt. The other stuff still has to be sorted out. I’m sure there are other well know people are also part of this scandal.

I think he should buy water filter and water tanks for every family in Jackson. He can ask the state officials to help him with their own personal funds.

He did pressure for funding but he also took money for speaking engagements he never had to do; and that money was diverted from social service funding.

@originalmamagrizzly2478 yea and she didn’t even bilk money from the poor. She just bribed USC to take her daughter in. But I would say a large population of the kids at USC were bought a space there by their parents. Such is the case with private universities.

Ummmm…. Because time and time again they show that they are; look at all the crimes that trump has been able to get over for decades

These are the systemic problems that people turn a blind eye to and insist don’t exist

The courts can sort it out but the whole thing with the mismanagement of the funds was criminal. Bret just played a very small part of it. Regardless small or large it was something he knew that he shouldn’t have been involved in.

Well he paid back 1.1 million so I’d say that he knew he was wrong and thus guilty.
