@MauiGurrl people on this forum aren’t interested in hearing that, it’s more convenient to blame other things and people.

That is debunked there’s two different pots of money. Please do some research.

FEMA was already on it before trump decided to start bloviating about it. But no doubt you would much prefer to believe in a lying grifter. The Feds don’t need to get every single detail out to you. You can easily look it up Business Insider has a good article addressing it.
2
@tennesseeterri you have a party that holds the budget hostage; the same party by the way that didn’t want to pass the border bill.
2
@fluffyfeathers49 certainly one party blatantly lies more than the other and consistently votes against the better interests of their constituents. So I don’t see both parties as the same if that’s what your getting at.
2
The same group who tanked the border bill, yet their constituents are the first ones complaining about documented and undocumented immigrants. Additionally, when. Biden immoderately came into office he increased the immediate disaster relief from $600 from the prior administration to $750.
2
Not sure how long your reply will stay up here, plenty with your same effort towards education seem to be deleted. Fantastic, educated response though!!!

A state of emergency was declared before the storm even hit land fall. The whelks were already turning. I know someone who can throw you a few rolls of paper towels if you need them.
1
@anniesshenanigans3815 it was $600 under trump. He probably would have kept it at $600. Biden changed it to $750 upon taking office. The $750 is for people to care of any immediate need. Sounds a bit like socialism to me… thought you all didn’t like all that. Ohhh but wait, when it concerns you, it’s ok. Got it.

@emilyfeagin2673 and spreading lies to the ignorant who drink it up.
1
@TLA123y6f it’s a pity more people don’t educate themselves on this matter. Trump is out there spewing lies and those who support him believe it and and continue to spread the lies. Networks and newspapers have been trying to correct these lies but people believe what they want to believe especially that demographic that wants to oppress and marginalize people of color.
1
@TLA123y6f most large newspapers respect the truth. The BBC is also a good source. You need to look at several different sources. PBS is typically a good source as well but everything should be double checked against another source. Certainly a source that has consistently proven to lie should probably be eliminated for any truth worthiness.the NewsWeek article I suggested on who voted against against FEMA can be easily verifiable as the way your representatives voted is public record.

@fluffyfeathers49 on the contrary. I certainly don’t believe in a bloviating criminal grifter. You can easily check the the credibility of the NewsWeek article … how you’re representative voted is public information.
1
@BittyBooBrown yep I actually did. Here’s the problem with almost half of the American majority population, which has gone on for the last couple of hundred years; you purposely vote against your own better interests because you fear anyone else getting anything/ don’t want another group to have anything.

Yep I haven’t had a good nights sleep since 2016. Here’s a great article by NewsWeek you can Google. Full List of Republicans Who Voted Against FEMA Funding Before Helene Hit Published Oct 04, 2024 at 11:48 AM EDT Updated Oct 04, 2024 at 1:58 PM EDT

@TLA123y6f most people screaming the loudest about there not being enough services are the very same people who support the very people giving tax cuts to the top one percent that creating trillions in deficit under the last administration that could be used to prop up social services. They continue to support a party of trickle down economics even though they don’t see any of the trickle and they support the “pick yourself up by your bootstraps” mentality, I guess they still haven’t figured out that that means them now.
1
When trump was in office the amount was $600. He has managed to create the greatest deficit which we’ll be paying for for decades because of his tax cuts for the top 1%.
