  2. That is so not true. I have flown from Sao Paulo (GRU) to Tokyo (NRT) on Varig Airlines before with one stop in LA. I also flew from Seoul in Korea to Sao Paulo (GRU) with a technical stop in LA as well. Also Japan Airlines has had flights to Sao Paulo via NYC.

  3. One more thing these flights were done using the 747-400 for all three airlines that I mentioned (Varig, KAL and Japan Airlines)

  4.  @nakajimasara  The flights that I mentioned WERE NOT connecting flights but direct flight as in one doesn't change planes along the way. The airplane stops in California or in New York (Japan Airlines) but we don't change planes. Presently there are flights from Aerolineas Argentinas flying from Buenos Aires to Sydney Australia. Lan Chile also flies there with direct flights.
