  1. The big difference to me Ian is the stand out different styles in each state ! Queensland bc it can get hot , high set houses with big veranders alot not enclosed to keep the breezes flowing! / sun rooms let in breeze ! Shade! Large open verandahs type patios at the front of the house , some enclosed with windows ! Most older homes built with stairs on the outside going to the 2nd level! Adelaide and South Australia area houses constructed many years ago were mainly built of double thick stone about 1 foot thick ! Sydney two storey brick terraces homes! Melbourne more Victorian style brick homes! Keep in mind these are describing the more original style older homes built 50 years Go and more! But still very much standing! 🥰
