@timifumi46brown91 yep the 4 cylinder delivers 500 Nm of torque compared to the 430Nm of the V8. When off roading torque is what you need not top end power.

@timifumi46brown91 I drove 4 cylinder Toyota's, landrovers, and G wagons carrying significant loads right across this country and a few we invaded and never had an issue. They were all diesel engines. Never ever needed a V8. This of course is only my personal experience.

@ch33psk8 My son went halves in a 80 series land cruiser with half a million ks on it. He spent 12 months working on it. Stripped it completely had some minor mechanical work done on the engine and suspension. He cut out some rust and had it resprayed. It is now his pride and joy.

@ch33psk8 Back in the 80s Norforce used Toyota's as their patrol vehicles. They got treated as roughly as any vehicle I've ever seen and they just keept going.
